Black Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Smile Jul 04, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Hotel | Ramen

This was my second visit to this ramen place for Black Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. Though there are free flow of boiled eggs but i still prefer to pay the additional $2 for the fragrant egg. I like the egg yolk soft and runny. This time i opted for a clearer taste to reduce the taste of the black pepper. It was rather overwhelmed the last time. The texture of the ramen was just right. I added in the spicy bean sprouts and chilli flakes to enhance the taste to the way i liked it. I will be back again.

Hawaiian Paradise Pizza Smile Jun 23, 2012

Categories : Italian | Pasta | Halal

Domino's pizza has been a new found love. It was strongly recommended by my son and we decided to order it to celebrate my birthday. After glanced through the menu, we decided to order Hawaiian Paradise on thin crust. It arrived within 30 minutes upon the order submitted. The crust was as thin as a sheet topped with ingredients like pineapple and ham with extra cheese added. I enjoyed it so much and i prefer it to those from other pizza chains.
It will be my option on those days when i am too lazy to cook!

Pineapple Drink Smile Jan 30, 2012

Categories : Hawker Centre

Although there are many stalls selling pineapple drink at Geylang Serai Market but i will normally buy from Ah Keng Kedai Minuman. I was there again this afternoon at about 3.30 pm. The same uncle manned the stall by himself. He smiled at me when he saw me taking the picture of his stall.
I ordered 2 cups of pineapple drinks without ice cubes to take away. The Uncle asked me to put in some ice cubes when i wanted to drink to dilute the sweetness. He said, most of his customers liked it sweet so he has added in the extra sugar syrup to meet their expectations. The uncle told me that they have been around for very long.
This is my favourite pineapple drink. They served one of the nicest pineapple drinks in Singapore. Their pineapple drinks always came with generous amount of pineapple. Strongly recommended.

Chey Sua Carrot Cake Smile Jan 26, 2012

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Sweets/Snack

The Chey Sua Carrot Cake stall is one of the most famous stall in the Toa Payoh West Market & Food Centre. Whenever i have a craving for good carrot cake, i will drop by the Toa Payoh West Market & Food Centre during off peak hours. The queue during peak hours is horrible and the wait can be very long. The carrot cake is very crispy and is very tasty. The carrot cake itself is chopped until very fine and lots of egg is added to it. When the carrot cake is served, it taste like you are having an carrot cake egg pancake. Highly recommended.

Teo Chew Handmade Pau  Smile Jan 26, 2012

Categories : Teochew | Hawker Centre

This is one of the most famous stall at the Toa Payoh West Market & Food Court. Whenever i am at the Toa Payoh West Market & Food Court, i will order a bunch of paus from the Teo Chew Handmade Pau. The paus are bite size and the skin is really thin. One bite and the filling will ooze out. My fav is the char siew and stew pork pau. Do come earlier as the stew pork pau will sell out very fast as the stew pork is very fragrant and the pau skin is very soft.
