Non Entrée Desserts, a name popular for serving its unique and interesting desserts. It was located in Rangoon Road where there are an uprising number of cafes sprucing up in the same vicinity. It takes about 10 minute walk from Farrer Park Mrt station.

Non Entrée Desserts was located beside a condominium, away from the rest of the café. It has a very brightly-coloured door for easy recognition.

It does not have any fanciful interior, only simple decoration that gives an industrial vibe.

You will be tempted by the prettily decorated cakes in the display. This is what happen to my friend and I, hoping that we have enough tummy and money to indulgence in these delights.

There are also a variety of ice cream flavour for diner to choose .

In this café, it serves only desserts and beverage. There is a wide selection of desserts to choose – Cakes, waffles, ice cream, etc. I love how they display their menu. It was in a photo frame for easy referencing and acts as a decoration.

We have order a Matcha Avalanche, a Rubber Ducky, a lemon tart and a pot of tea (Sakura) to share. Despite the place being crowded, it was not noisy. You can have a easy time having small talks and chill around with friends.

Rubber Ducky consists of wrapped “exotic ducky sorbet” with the crème fraiche pudding. It was topped with chewy sago pearls and fresh mango puree. To create the bubbles for the rubber duck to swim in, the cloud was made from lemongrass. The entire desserts taste like a mango sorbet within a pudding. Delicious and sour~ Love the cute presentation of this dessert.

Lemon Tart was pretty decent. The tart base was crispy and buttery. The baked lemon custard was sweet and sour. A nice blend of sweet-sour taste. Those big white droplets are actually solidified sugar. As we are not a fan of overly sweet food, we removed these droplets before consuming.

Matcha Avalanche was our favourite. The cake was soft and fluffy. Upon cutting, thick and warm matcha lava oozes out of the cake. You can even see red beans within. Love this slightly bitter and sweet dessert.  In case you are wondering what was included in the dessert, it consists of warm matcha green tea lava with azuki beans flowing onto smokey roasted green tea gelato, crunchy almond nougatine and chocolate soil.

Non Entrée Desserts really serve cute and delicious desserts. Despite it being slightly in accessible, I will definitely revisit for their yummy desserts.

A wallet friendly café has been opened for business at Simon Road where most of the dishes are priced below S$15 nett. Lola's Café not only provide affordable food, the food was also delicious.

Lola’s café can be easily access via kovan mrt with about 5 min walk. We went on a Tuesday afternoon, but the pack was still packed. This goes to show how popular it is.

Lola’s café can be easily access via kovan mrt with about 5 min walk. We went on a Tuesday afternoon, but the pack was still packed. This goes to show how popular it is. It has a simple yet modern decoration in the café. The staff was really friendly where they served you plain water the moment you sat down.

*Update* I have enclosed menu and update the price. It has gone up slightly but the food still taste great.

MENU

Truffle mushroom toast consist of brioche toast, truffle cream mushroom, mozzarella cheese, onions, pickled red raddish, mesclun, sunny side egg, and feta crumbles. I must say that the ingredients used were many but I find that it was disappointing taut it lacks the truffle taste. Furthermore, the mushroom tends to be bland.

Truffle mushroom toast ($12)

Honey and Paprika Wings was actually chicken wings drizzled with sweet honey and sprinkled with paprika flakes. The Chicken was deep fried to give a crispy texture. Howveer, it was great that it helps to retain the juiciness within and the honey gives it a tinge of sweetness in every bite. This is my favourite food which I craved for it even at this time
when I’m typing this post.

Honey Paprika Crispy Wings($10)

The Avocado Eggs Benedict consists of Brioche bread, avocado, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, garden salad, balsamic dressing. It was a large serving for us to share. The poached egg sat beautifully on the brioche bread but upon cutting it, the golden lava gushed out and moisture the bread.

Avocado Eggs Benedict ($14)

The breakfast butter croissant meal consist of crispy and flaky butter croissant, smooth and running scrambled eggs, couple with pork ham ,honey bacons, cheddar cheese and honey
mayo. To create a more balanced meal, garden salad with balsamic dressing were also served.

Breakfast Butter Croissant ($15)

Shoe-string fries were fried drizzle with warm nacho cheese. It was irresistible and sinful at the same time.

Nachos Cheese Fries ($8)

This café is definitely worth a visit for the affordably priced delicious food and great environment to be in.

Jajangmyeon (Blackbean sauce noodle) has always been a common food eaten by Korean. You can practically see the actor and actress eating it in every single show. Being an avid Korean food lover, I have been craving for delicious Jajangmyeon and Tang Su Yuk.

Tae Woo was located in level 3 of The Central. The restaurant was really cosy and quiet to dine in. You will be served the traditional buckwheat tea and Korean side dishes upon seated. Though there isn’t much variety being served in the restaurant, the food was really decently nice.

Upon ordering, the food came within 10 minutes bof wait. We order the Jajangmyeon, tang su yuk and fried dumping to try.

The Jajangmyeon’s serving was quite big for this price. For diners with smaller eating capacity can choose order 1 serving and add an additional $2 for extra noodles to share. The combination of chewy noodles with the thick Jajang sauce, it was really mind-blowing. During my visit, every table order this dish. It’s definitely a must order!!

Jajangmyeon ($12)

Eating purely Jajangmyeon may be too boring, so why not order some tang su yuk to go with it. The crispy pork served with sweet and sour sauce makes it a very appetizing dish. It makes you crave for more. One tip while eating this dish is to prevent over-coating the pork cubes with the sauce
to prevent feeling too “jerlat” (too sick of the dish).

Tang Su Yuk ($26)

The fried dumplings are crispy and non-oily. It was great that they are non-oily thus reduces you guilty of eating too oily food. However, the filling within tend to be too little.

Fried Dumplings ($8)

If you are craving for decent Korean Chinese food at an affordable price, why not give Tae Woo a try. I believe you would not regret visiting.

5 The Moment ice cream palour was a recent addition to Central Business district (CBD) tanjong pagar. It not only served yummy desserts such as ice cream, waffles, cakes and brownies, they are also specialized in taking couples shoot. It was basically a mixture of café and photo studio.

It has a mix of local and Europe Vintage style decoration. Over at the counter and the ice cream display, it feels as though you have stepped into a time machine which travels you back to the 60s. The layout and display resembles the provision shops selling old school snacks and candies.

To tempt the diner with their yummy goodies, phoctorial display of these delights were hang at the wall for easy reference. They serve a variety of yummy ice cream for your selection.

As it is a photo studio, it showcases a variety of vintage camera as a form of decoration. They have greatly utilized the space to create a cosy environment for the diners. I’m not sure if you can recognize, some of the tables located near the wall are actually sewing machine which was converted to serve as a table.

On the first visit, we have order the waffles with the dark truffle ice cream. As it is a premium flavour, it required additional $1. The second visit, we took a double scoop (Peanutella & dark truffle).

The ice cream was really creamy and smooth. Best of all, they are not overly sweet. The peanutella was a mixture of peanut butter and nutella. This savory sweet ice cream was an interesting flavour for us. I have always been a peanut butter love, so it kind of satisfies my need. lol The dark truffle ice cream was my favourite! It was really rich in chocolate taste. It has bitter sweet which makes it out choice as it prevents us from getting too sick of eating it.

Double Scoop: $8.80 + $1 for Premium Ice cream

The rectangular butter waffles was crispy and fluffy. It has a very light buttery taste. Coupled with the dark truffle ice cream, it was heavenly! I strongly recommend the dark truffle ice cream for its bitter sweet , rich and creamy taste!!

Waffles + Gelato: $10.80 + $1 for Premium Ice cream

Gelato Lovers, popped by and have a try of these delights lol
