I was looking for red bean milk ice, but on the menu, they only had the usual standard. ice kachang and stuff. Trying to test my luck if the person making desserts would like to cooperate, I asked if she could make red bean milk ice only with red bean, lots of milk, ice, and sugar. She looked confused, of course, with "only red bean no more? How about jelly, longan, etc." while pointing. So in the end it was an interesting creation of a plain dessert and topped with milk. Let's just say, it's a naked ice kacang - "without the colorful syrup sauce?" was what I remember as well It was rather plain, but what I want to point out is the great service the lady gave, she followed whatever I was saying and also offering me on what to add, and with language restrictions (I cant speak Chinese and vice versa) she was really helpful and we just laughed along the way of the creating process. Thumbs up for her service! It all makes a difference to enjoy a simple plain ice mountain. The stall nearby my school that wants to beat out Astons Express will never surpass, but what's different from this that they sell desserts~! They've got cheesecakes, tiramisu, and chocolate mousse for popular starters. I was not feeling hungry but feeling sweet, so they had the promotion where you buy a main meal, you top up for $1.50 from the usual $3 per cup of dessert and you can choose either a tiramisu or chocolate mousse. I was torn between them, chocolate mousse is my first total love, but tiramisu with mascarpone cheese and coffee bitter taste, Oh lala~ I decided to change. Turns out that, for the price, it's quite OK - you get a small cup with cream, and cocoa powder drizzled on top and somewhere in the middle there's a sponge cake of coffee taste. The cream wasn't too sweet and the chocolate was also bitter, so it's a great pass for the price! Cookeeatmonster, hunting for the worthy places of bringing your monstrous appetite. As we were sitting direct opposite of this stall, my friend was dreaming of Bubor Chacha. So she ordered here, for $2, and boy, as this was my first time tasting it, it was seriously hella good bowl of hot dessert. Melting point of your determination to stop eating desserts after 8PM. The sweetness was just nice, good for my milk-chocolate tongue and not to over indulge the taste with the fillings inside. I then read their reviews that was listed on the wall there, and found that their sesame paste ($1.70) was their top famous choice, and so I ordered that. The sesame paste was came in thick dollops of black goodness, and it wasn't sweet at all. It was even better when I mixed it with my other dessert bowl of yam paste. Don't leave with only the hot desserts, their cold desserts are also sinful! The c old mango dessert for $2 is a bang for your buck with real mango bits and sweet, quite thick cold paste to cleanse your sweet tooth in a healthier way. My friend who ordered this was so addicted she bought another one to be brought home and kept for tomorrow's dessert. Absolute recommended. Will be coming back to try other desserts offered! Stonegrill, back in my hometown, is a a pretty famous bistro restaurant level with elegant ambience and such. And finding them here, in the middle of the HDBs of Toa Payoh, and 'express' as well, I was surprise. If you guys are a big fans of Astons, then this is the place you need to try next. Although the price is still more or less about the same when eating in restaurant ambiance, you eaters shouldn't be much picky and have a go. Queue's not as long as Astons and well, if you're around the neighborhood for a good quality steak nearby, here's the place to try! Ordered the sirloin steak (<$15). Comes with sauce and scrambled eggs as the side. To eat this, you have to wait till the meat is cooked, as the hot stone will cook the meat. Twist and turn the meat till it's cooked and scrape all the pepper salt around! The meat was absolute tender after, it was juicy and thick, and with the sauce! I still yet have to find the picture of the sauce and the french fries for $2! This is the best deal deal ever I've found in Singapore. A whole big bowl of fries for only $2!

The last day to use, finally used all out with the rest! I chose to try the Red Devil pasta, originally $19.90, with 3 chilli sign. But again, it doesn't matter, even requesting specially fro to the staff to add an additional spice, like 'must be super spicy ok!" Is not working. But this red devil pasta is an improvement! It has a slliiight taste of spiciness. An interesting pasta, it has the seafood of clams, oysters, squid, and little scallops. Really, again I'll recommend almost any seafood platters in this restaurant! The pasta is not creamy, but soupy. It's a red clear liquid soup of pasta, so it was quite interesting. My korean friend whom I ate with today remarked that this is so Korean! Well, this is a korean-italian fusion joint indeed! New promotion! They've got this new member card promotion, so on lunch weekdays you'll get 20%, and 15% on dinner. I'm not sure how but looks to me we should collect until 5x eating there then we'll get the permanent card? Not sure, but you can watch this out! Recommended Dish(es):
