late supper! Smile May 07, 2011

After practice from St Mary's, decided to get a some upper and surprisingly Jones was still open.

I ordered the cheesy baked mash potato for $6, which was originally a side dish but you could opt out for the bigger version. And it came out (well the info given by the girl who was behind the order said it's 3x than the normal sized small cup) bigger than expected!

The texture was of course not as light and soft but the potato mixed with the cheese was just too good. Too good and very filling. I even shared and I was soon dozzing off. Blame it to the carbs. mad

The best stall of minced meat fish ball noodle in the whole sim lim! Given with the Green Awards and other award which I forgot, for $3.50 which si a decent price for the aircon foodcourt with extra noodle portion without extra charge is super great.

The portion comes with noodle (prefer dry!) and with a bowl of like 4-5 smooth soft fishballs and fishcakes slice and gohyong - totally full house on the soup! And the noodles with the delicious sauce. Ah, it's just perrrrfect and really, they didn't get all stingy on portion size!

Or maybe since I came at a quiet hour at 5 this time! mad

Like the name says, it is delicious. Period.

Well let me englighten you all Openricers then on how good. Ahem.

Starts to sell around 1PM, because they open their store about 11-12 noon, and thats when Mr Chef starts to make the dough sift mould and bake so it takes an hour or so till its baked and ready in their display.

Their muffins are banana walnut, orange peel, and chocolate chip from $1.50-$2.20. In addition, chicken pie and curry puff at $2.50 is also served with the same good quality they have set their standards to. The pies are just different, the chicken rather than bland and plain, is more creamy in the potato filling texture and the richer taste.

Take note! They always close every month on these three dates: 8th, 18th, and 28th, which these dates are etched in my memory forever as they close on my birthdate TT_TT

It was when I wanted to celebrate my diet-free birthday with stuffing good time but alas, it was close. CLOSE!

Lent season of sweet Smile Mar 19, 2011

Categories : American | Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

So, lent season means to stop eating big and try to control on what you like most or in another way just to show your belief. Anyhow, I tried not to eat all big meals and just eat small meals. But then instead of eating a 6inch and stay away from famous bak kut teh around the neighborhood, for my little snack for the evening, I decided to waste my last calories of the day with their ultra GOOD GOOD CHEWY GREAT COOKIES.

Macadamia white nut is seriously the best best best. I bought 2 cookies to limit myself , at 80c each. The gooey, chewy and melting macadamia nut is best when eaten warm (sadly I got quite a cold one).

gohan motto taberu~ Smile Mar 11, 2011

Japanese fans, prepare to glorify - a japanese restaurant that's not in the hotel serving real japanese rice with all the delectable choices of FLAVORS the rice you want with your meal!

The best thing ever, we wanted to try like Baikohken but it was full house so we were so hungry at 2PM on a saturday and so we decided to try this new stall.

I was peering over looking at each before deciding. You choose the set which comes with the salad, miso, pickles, vegetables, the meat (unagi, beef, etc.) and the rice. Now the rice, is the signature of this store.

From different colors and taste, say vegetable taste like taro? The purple greyish one or so to salmon (most popular and the nicest bit of salty taste), which I recommend!

About $17 as I took the unagi set! Although portion is still like 3/5 full for me, its Japanese hello serving an adequate portion for a meal I'm just monstrous, ahhhh, the real japanese rice sits on my tongue, ever so chewy, flavorful and delicate. The wonderful gohan from nippon!
