We were here during the restaurant week. Overall the food and dessert here were decent, nothing to rave about. Service was good from the reception staff but not the server staff. If you just want to find a slightly better restaurant with adequate food at Raffles Place area, you can consider this place.

So far I only enjoyed this starter the most: Pan-Seared Scallops
Love their scallops so much - Succulent and Crisp at the top!

Pan-Seared Foie Gras - We thought the size of the foie gras will be something like the scallops above. So we were really amazed by the generous portion of foie gras given. Probably it's a little too much and too rich, so we gotta share the portion with each other.. Overall it was mediocre.

Pan Seared Salmon - The salmon was cooked to perfection, very tender and the skin was crisp enough!

Roasted Chicken Breast -  Was expecting the meat to be tough but surprisingly it was quite tender. But the taste was quite bland, somehow this dish was unremarkable.

Doubled-boiled Abalone Soup with Chicken & Ginseng Flower - Omg all the goodness can be found in this soup! Full-flavoured and the abalone was very tender too! The chicken was a tad tough so just focus on the abalone & the soup, 1 word to describe - Excellent Soup!

Braised Hashima with Shredded Fish Maw, Dried Scallops & Golden Mushroom - This soup was a tad pale in comparison with the above abalone soup (Perhaps the abalone soup was too good) The broth was quite thick, tasty and full of ingredients. I think you will find this soup nice if you have not try their abalone soup.

Stir-Fried Scallops with Savoury Sauce - The scallops were succulent and complemented well with the savoury sauce!

Deep-Fried Grouper Fillet with Cereal - We usually had cereal with prawn or beancurd. So this is our first time having fish fillet with cereal. The combination was not bad, fillet was quite tender as well!

Overall this place is definitely worth a visit as the ambience was very relaxing and the food quality was quite high except some areas need to improve on. And it's very rare to see chinese restaurant serves free flow of selected fruit juices for weekend brunch buffet.. A plus point to attract people as it's really nice to have buffet with fruit juices!

Tiramisu Cafecinno - Wow this was very creative! It my first time having Tiramisu with Coffee, they complemented so well! The aroma was so great with cocoa powder atop! Addicted to this.. Must Order!!!

Grilled Barramundi - I never expected that Bakerzin can cook such a nice grilled barramundi! The exterior skin was very very crispy and the creamy sauce was fantastic!!! I wish they can put more sauce... The meat was a tad not tender enough otherwise it will be perfect! Thumbs up for this dish!

Mango-Passion Souffle - Served with homemade chocolate ice-cream. The sourness of the mango-passion souffle was quite mild so not to worry, it has a refreshing taste with good quality chocolate ice-cream. The souffle was quite soft but the top texture was a tad rough, not as smooth as other souffles that i've tried before... Still need some improvements. But overall this dessert still tasted quite nice! Note: Baking time for 15mins.

Food & dessert quality were around slightly above average quality. But the main course selection was quite limited as i don't like pasta/burgers. So will only come back again to have the barramundi and try their other desserts again! Bakerzin definitely worth a revisit!

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Hotel | Dim Sum | Seafood

Finally comes the dim sum buffet on weekday for business lunch, tai-tais and for those who wish to indulge themselves when they're on leave!
(Only 1 Serving)

(Only 1 Serving)

Baked Egg Tart with Swiftlet Nest & White Fungus - I really love this exclusive egg tart! It gives off a very pleasant fragrance when you bite on the nest & white fungus.. The egg tart was melted in the mouth as well! Overall a very wonderful egg tart! smile
(Only 1 Serving)

(Only 1 Serving)

Deep-fried Yam Paste with Foie-gras - I can say this is the BEST fried yam paste i've ever had! The exterior was super super crispy till very hard to break it! The ingredients inside were so yummy and aromatic as well, perhaps its with the foie-gras!
(Only 1 Serving)

(Only 1 Serving)

Crab Meat with Shredded Abalone & Fish Maw in Thick Broth - The broth was quite thick and the taste was nice but not mind-blowing.. The serving was quite generous.
(One Serving)

(One Serving)

Homemade Bean Curd with Crab Meat & Aubergine in Supreme Stock - I love the bean curd as it's really really super smooth and tender with generous portions of crab meat and crab claws.. Not forgetting the flavourful supreme stock that made the whole dish very delightful!

The food quality for those 1 serving were excellent but the unlimited dim sum selection were quite disappointing...

Renowned French-inspired Japanese Patisserie "Henri Charpentier" has finally opened their first global dessert salon in Singapore in Oct 2014! Henri Charpentier was nestled among lush greenery on the top of Dempsey Hill, just beside "House" restaurant.

Exclusive dessert only available in Singapore! Sautéed pineapple, caramel-flavored chocolate mousse and dark chocolate mousse are placed in a bowl resembling a flower made of sugar. The dessert is finished by being flambéed with orange liqueur. Upon being doused with the flaming liqueur, the sugar bowl begins to melt away, flowing down the sides of the dessert tower. The sugar bowl was very solid, hard to bite. I like the chocolate mousse, but the liquor was a tad too much so it tasted quite bitter.. This dessert was quite high quality but the taste was not as good as the dome (below).

Exclusive dessert only available in Singapore and also the most expensive dessert here that you have to try!!! Upon pouring the warm liquor, the chocolate sphere quickly melts away to unveil the hidden sweet treat! The chocolate sphere encloses a chocolate parfait biscuit of fraise d'amande (Strawberries & Almonds). I prefer this dessert - Dome than the flower temptation! The liquor was not that strong so the bitterness was very mild. With the chocolate & rasberry sauce, the whole combination here was excellent with a touch of crunchiness and sweetness.
