Starbucks' Belgian Waffles Smile May 01, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Coffee

Starbucks is probably the ideal place to go if you stranded in Singapore with a laptop and desperately need some place with a power outlet to do your work.

Hence, I chose Starbucks at City Link as my restaurant today as I find the other Starbucks located at City Hall a little too crowded for me.

Having a limited amount of cash in my wallet, I decided to go with Belgian Waffles. As simple as it looks, it is actually quite delicious and filling although it might just be 2 pieces of waffles.

Slightly crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. Best of all, it comes with 3 different types of dippings! Honey, Strawberry Jam as well as philadelphia cream cheese! For $3.30, I'd say its worth it.

I am pretty satisfied with this outlet. When I first arrived, the cashier greeted me gregariously with a warm smile on her face. Amiable staffs, I'd say. However, I'm just a little disappointed that the 2 cups of coffee on my table is not cleared despite settling down at the cafe for more than 10minutes. I have to clear the table up myself. sad

Apart from that, I think everything is fine, just that the staffs have to mind uncleared tables just a little more. tongue

Nice Milk Tea OK May 31, 2011

Went there on a fine afternoon to get some drinks and snacks. (Too bad I didn't take pictures of the food!! huffy )

It's a pretty cool concept to serve the milk tea in a glass jar~

Ok, now coming to the taste, I feel that its rich and a little creamy, yet you still can taste the taste of the tea. The only downside is that it is a little small in size hmm.. So I have to order this drink twice.. sigh. sad

However, this is great for a nice afternoon break!

Baked Rice OK May 31, 2011

XinWang baked rice - My first XinWang dish!

Hmm, I will say that it taste pretty normal, just like any other baked rice. Just that the portion is a little small... hence, be prepared to order some side dishes to go along with this, a total no-no for big eaters.

The mozerella is very good though, its very strong and chewy~

However, I still feel that its a little overpriced for a simple baked rice...

Xin Wang HK Cafe OK May 27, 2011

Xin Wang - Looks promising, but I find the food so-so.

Went there a few months ago with my friends, ate the pork chop & papaya soup with noodles. Tasted pretty decent, however, I'm feeling a little disgusted that they used "maggi noodles" instead of any other type of noodles which somehow cheapens the entire dish. sad

The rest are ok, I wouldn't say that they tasted fabulous, but just made the mark. lol

Not nice leh. Cry May 31, 2011

Went to ebiboshi with a friend and all I can say is that it is overated...

So what if it has up-to-date technology such as touch-pen ordering and such? My friend and I had a hard time trying to figure out how to order. We also had a hard time trying to signal for a waitress to take our orders as they are all out of sight..

Ordered shoyu ramen and all I can say is that IT IS TOO SALTY. It's really salty and you can get sick of it after a few mouthfuls.. GAH. Did not finish it in the end. The ramen also tastes cheap.

Guess I should predicted this when there's only 2 - 3 customers at that point of time...
