For macaroon lover Smile Aug 19, 2011

Yes, I'm one of those food wankers that goes cuckoo for macarons. A macaron is a variety of French petit four made from two halves of almond meringue with a filling (often a ganache) in the middle.

What I love most about Bakerzin's macarons, apart from the inventive flavour combinations, is the texture. crunch on it, icrispy on the outside, chewy and moist on the inside.....irresistible! they have full range variety which is about 10 flavor and my favorite would be the chocolate & pistachio

and it only cost SGD1.60 for one! so affordable!

My experience with Royce was year 2001, when a friend of mine brought this precious back from japan as souvenir. after the first bite, it has became the most memorable bite ever in my life!

later i found them in takashimaya in orchard, it is affordable which only cost sgd15!. which I think is fairly reasonable! My favorite is always the ROYCE NAMA CHOCOLAE, The chocolate are slightly bitter, and absolutely awesome if u are a fans of dark chocolate, it covered with cocoa powder. it taste velvety smooth creamy with a little bit of liqueur.

They have a range of flavours to choose from as well if u arent a fans of dark chocolate smile

the philosophy of life is simple! get a sweet frozen treat when u are feeling down!

I used to be addicted to their chocolate fudge brownies ice cream (im a chocolate fans), Then, one day when i was trolling at the huge selection of ice cream at the cathay, i came across the Cookie Dough! The Cookie Dough pieces in the ice cream are rounded into little small ball shapes and all contain the most scrumptious Chocolate Chips which truely do make it the best Cookie Dough I've ever tasted!! it is just plain delicious! what can you ask for more??

p/s: apologize on the photos, it is too tasty and haven get to snap before all gone!

Jian Bo Shui Kueh Smile Aug 18, 2011

Chwee kueh basically served on waxed paper with hot preserved radish relish and it became one of the popular breakfast item in Singapore.

Personally i will only recommend this stall to my friends, Do not visit the wrong stalls in tiong bahru market as there are many out there selling same Chwee kueh.

Jian bo Chwee kueh are relatively softer and less starchy compare to others and the chilli paste really goes very well with the kueh. chai poh are well marinated, not too salty too. flavour and texture, just right.

Super cheap dessert Smile Aug 17, 2011

Everything here is good and and cheap ($1-$3) so if you don't know what to get, try a little of everything! And at a mere $1.20 you can get a bowl of the heavenly delicious yet healthier dessert option for breakfast or supper!

Tofu fa has a very delicate texture if you've never had it before. It's like eating silken tofu but completely airy, delicious, and light. it taste so good with the ginger infused simple sugar syrup.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can also get your tofu fa with additional grass jelly, it taste good too.
