lunch OK May 15, 2011

I had my order after a queue of about 15 minutes which was pretty long
as it was packed during lunch time.
I ordered a luncheon meat, stewed cabbages
as well as a steamed egg.
It tasted pretty average , at least the items were not over salty or loaded with msg.
Quite healthy i would say.
I may come again to try other food items.

This was what i ordered for breakfast, not much of a queue as i was there on my offday,
i reached about 11 am which was considered late , as it was nearing lunch hours.
I ordered the standard set that comes with the vegetarian charsiw and cabbages, as well as the fried taukee.
The beehoon were lightly seasoned, i feel this is a very healthy meal,
i should eat vegetarian food more often after eating from the stall,
as they taste very nice, not as bland as i thought.

My friend ordered fish and chips and i ordered chicken chop as i was not having the craving to eat fried item that day.
No more of my usual fried chicken cutlet or fish and chips.
The coleslaw tasted abit too sweet and it would make a big difference it they chill it longer before serving.
The chicken chop was nice and tender and well flavoured,
and i love the mushroom sauce that they topped on my chicken chop.
The fries tasted normal, but i enjoyed dipping and eating them with the chilli sauce anyway

I left half the portion of the rice untouched as i was not feeling well that day.
I ordered the wrong items and they were abit too flavourful for me,
i should have ordered something light like porridge but i was at the same time,
afraid the porridge might be too bland for my liking.
The big piece of taupok was too salty and the curry gravy drizzled on top of my rice was too spicy.
I had to drink lots of water after eating.

economic rice OK May 15, 2011   (Related Review)

Today i ordered these for lunch , as economic rice is the usual i would eat for lunch.
I had deep fried chicken, curry vegetables as well as braised egg tofu.
I had a well mix of everything in my rice.
I queued for about 5 minutes as there were quite a number of people during lunch.

The curry vegetables is slightly soft and it was not too spicy, i like the curry taupok, upon biting, the curry gravy drizzled out nicely in your mouth.
The rest of the items tasted average too.
