Soup Smile Jun 19, 2011

Had myself a Pig Organ Pork Ball Soup. The store's business seems to be rather quiet except on weekends. You can always find seats available so no need to fret for those who are easily put off by having no available seats.
Smooth flavourful soup, generous ingredients, good service. What's more to ask for? Probably a cooler weather to enjoy the meal without breaking a sweat? smile

Don Cry Jun 19, 2011

Ordered a Katsu Curry Don and I was disappointed as the portion of the chicken seemed similar to the actual rather than the bigger regular. The dish was served in an extremely ridiculous bowl, probably for the ease of mixing. The curry tasted similar to what was served in several places , though the chicken had some thickness to it. The rice was nothing amazing, I can't get myself to pay $14 or so for this ever again. Rice and japanese curry and some slices of fried chicken just does not determine the value for me.
The service here is average, probably due to the almost full house 7-8pm time slot

Sweet! OK Jun 19, 2011

The colours for the bibimbap are so exciting! One look at the picture, you must be thinking I'm eating some vegetarian meal at first glance eh?
Tried on the black sticky rice for size for this beef bibimbap set. The soup was quite plain but the side dishes were of some good quality. The greens were exceptionally fresh!
Now, the main attraction, the hot stone bibimbap. Everything was great, the sesame sauce was tasty. There's really nothing to complain about except that it's rather pricey, otherwise, a must try!
Service staff, mostly teens, were smiley but beyond serving your main and taking your order, the juniors did not take the initiative to refill my drink despite standing together to chit chat. Oh well...

Kimchi OK Jun 19, 2011

Dinner time : Waited about 7 minutes in queue. Queue was long but cleared fast b the korean lady boss mending the cashier's. Waited for another 15 minutes for the food. The beef kimchi soup was cooked much faster than the hotplate items. I overheard someone who mentioned about waiting for 20 minutes!
Soup wise, it is indeed spicy but not that spicy. The portion is okay and they were not stingy with their ingredients

KFC OK Jun 19, 2011

Was intending to go to Popeye's but the seats there were all occupied. Had a craving for fried chicken so the only place left to go at HDB Hub was KFC. Ordered myself a 3 piece meal and I am still convinced that KFC has one of the most oily chicken around. They need to do something about this.
