Awfully Chocolate Smile Jun 29, 2011

I have heard a few positive comments about Awfully Chocolate's ice-cream and that persuaded me to try a scoop too.

They come in single and double scoops. I'm glad I went for a single as firstly, I wasn't sure if I'd like it yet and secondly, a single scoop was already a generous portion.

The rich and heavy chocolate ice-cream leaves you with chocolate coming out of your nostrils when you are done, I'm kidding. It was sure good but I doubt I could eat this every week, much less everyday.

Spending per head: Approximately $3.80

I have walked past this store a couple of times but it never crossed my mind to try their desserts.

I did when I finally decided to try the uniquely made mango French desserts. They have cakes, muffins, meringues, macaroons, puddings and so on.

They aren't cheap though, about $4-5+ for each piece, and it's a simple kiosk, no seats whatsoever. I bought 2 slices: Mango Tango Cheesecake and Mango Gelée Cake. Both were luxuriously good, what's more, I read about the health benefits.

Both were rich in mangoes, but I preferred the Mango Tango Cheesecake, the chocolate crust and creamy cheese went well together. It was something I had never tried before.

A common spot for people to hang out when 'the night is always young'. People are often here for supper but some do come here for lunch and dinner too.

I ordered 2 pieces of plain prata, I'd usually have mine plain, sometimes with egg or onions and cheese but most of the time, I like plain.

I enjoy dipping half the serving in fish curry and the other half in sugar. The prata here is pretty good, it isn't like soaked in oil, not overly crispy, neither is it soggy.

Great!

Quiznos Sub. Smile Jun 29, 2011

Quite honestly, I was initially confused when I stepped into this shop and wondered if it's really Quiznos, another brand, or has Subway changed their layout and then I confirmed, yes it's Quiznos.

I was more gamed by then. I was keen to try a new sandwich. I ordered the mediterranean chicken with bbq sauce for my dressing.

The portion of chicken was generous, the bread smelled good but tasted similar to Subway's, vegetables were a load and fresh.

It was a great choice but Quiznos is a tough competitor against Subway.

I was debating between the curry naan or the classic pork floss bun but eventually, the curry naan won. It's time anyway because I don't eat naan often compared to the pork floss bun, spicy or not.

The curry naan contains pieces of chicken and curry powder. The naan isn't the best around but is decent tasting for its price. It's also quite oily but overall, I'm fine by it.
