Kentucky Fried Chicken  Smile Jun 13, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Fast Food

I had two pieces of chicken for dinner at KFC that day. One piece was original while the other crispy. I preferred the crispy piece because the skin layer was easier to eat since it was crispy. I felt that the original piece had too much batter on the skin that made its texture not as yummy as the crispy one. Furthermore, the original piece was not as tasty as the crispy because the crispy one was spicy! It was quite a finger licking good meal though.

Cheese Pancake  Smile Jun 13, 2011

Mr Bean's pancakes always do not fail to make me full and happy. I love their pancakes especially the cheese one when it is just cooked. When it is just cooked, the bread is soft and together with the cheese that melts in your mouth, it is so yummy! They serve soya bean milk too, which you can get together with the pancakes as a set at a lower price. The soybean milk + pancake set is a really good breakfast meal to start your day! smile

Lunch @ Din Tai Feng  Smile Jun 12, 2011

Categories : Dim Sum

It took some time before my family and I got a table to have our lunch at Ding Tai Feng that day. Most of the outlets are always filled with people, especially during mealtimes in the weekends. We each ordered a bowl of our own noodles. I ordered their zha jiang mian. And we all shared some xiao long baos. The zha jiang mian was not bad. The noodles were twirled and served very nicely. They were soft as they are usually handmade. The portion of minced pork was enough to eat together with the noodles. The bean sauce was tasty, not too salty too. I felt the skin of the xiao long bao at the tip was a little too thick, but it was still not too bad as the bottom skin was thinner and there were no soup leaks. It was a satisfying lunch that was worth waiting for. chopstick

Sweet BBQ Chicken and Fish Set  Smile Jun 12, 2011

When I eat at Kopitiam food courts, I always looks out for this dish. It is a delicious and filling meal. I ordered the chicken and fish set which came along with an egg or vegetables if you ask for a change. I prefer the fish to the chicken. The entire fish was soaked in the black sweet sauce and its skin was still crispy which was heavenly! bowl However, too much of the black sweet sauce might make you sick of eating it after awhile. Curry is given to pour over your rice. It is a nice dish to try if you have not eaten it before! smile

Curry Puff  Smile Jun 12, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Halal

Curry puff from Old Chang Kee is one of the oiliest ones because it is deep fried compared to others which are oven baked. I try to avoid eating their curry puffs most of the time, however, I was too hungry that day so I just bought one to satisfy my hunger. It was crispy at the sides and was still hot. The only thing I like about their curry puffs is that there are a lot of ingredients inside- pieces of chicken, a quarter of an egg and lots of potato. It was not too bad a snack, once in a long while! smile
