Jalan Tua Kong Lau Lim  Smile Oct 06, 2011

Jalan Tua Kong Lau Lim sells really good fish ball minced pork mee pok! Their queue is always super long, especially during lunch hours. I love their mee pok as it is not lumpy as compared to some other mee pok. Their fishball is also very chewy and they are very generous with the number of fishballs served! Their minced meat is another highlight. So finely chopped into small tiny pieces, yet retaining the sweetness of the minced pork due to the sauce. Very appetizing!

Had dinner 2 weeks ago at Ah Teck Herbal Claypot Bak Kut Teh. Wow I really love their bak kut teh! The strong aroma of the herbs and condiments just makes you want to gobble down the soup! The soup is very flavourful and tasty, not too salty and you cant really taste much msg in it. Their pork ribs is good too! very soft and tender and there is a thin layer of fats to make it smoother. Yum yum!

Teck Seng Soya Bean Milk Smile Oct 06, 2011

I love soya bean milk and I particularly love the soya bean milk from Teck Seng Soya Bean Milk! Their soya bean milk is not too sweet, and I like to mix it with grass jelly to add a slightly different taste to the soya bean milk. The grass jelly is so chewy and it really does enhance the flavour of the soya bean milk.

Teck Teochew Porridge  Smile Oct 06, 2011

Had a great dinner at Teck Teochew Porridge! Their vegetables and fish were very fresh! What I liked most is their rice. The porridge was slightly gooey, which was different from the usual ones where there is just rice in soup. It was yummy! their braised duck was good too! it was so flavourful that my family ordered 2 plates of that! Very tasty and the duck meat was tender! Yummy lol

Teck Ee Economic Rice Smile Oct 06, 2011

Teck Ee Economic Rice is indeed economical! I ordered 2 veggie and 1 meat and it cost very low lol the food quality is also not compromised. My favourite is their fried egg with oinions. The onion complemented the egg very well and it was not too salty. The sweet and sour pork is good too! very addictive sauce they have there. I also like the egg tofu! Very nicely fried to a thin layer of cripsy on the outside yet soft and smooth and silky on the inside. Great lunch!
