Small Grill with Tropical Breeze  Smile Mar 06, 2012

Categories : American | Restaurant | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

Brought a set of the small grill together with a cup of the tropical breeze drink for dinner.
The small grill set includes grilled fish fillet, fries, carrot, broccoli, prawn, calamari and garlic rice. The carrot and broccoli was just cooked, has a very crunchy texture. I would recommend to cook for a longer time so that it will be easier to chew. As for the fries, it was well deep fried, mixed with paprika powder to enhance the flavour of the fries. As for the garlic rice, it has a nice aroma of garlic and herb, well cooked and a good combination with the seafood. As for the calamari, it was well cooked, soft and very tender texture to chew and is well season. Lastly, the grilled fish was very fresh, soft and tender texture, seasoning was sufficient and the grilled fish was topped with a layer of garlic and herb sauce. A good dish offering a variety of food in a set and is worth the try.
As for the tropical breeze, it has a tropical mixed fruit flavour with a appealing yellow colour, very refreshing taste and goes well with the small grill.
A must try if you are a fish lovers !! tongue

Tao Huay and Pancake Smile Mar 06, 2012
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

Brought the tao huay and peanut pancake for lunch.
Firstly, the peanut pancake has a soft and spongy texture. The peanut fillings was added with sugar to provide a slight sweetness to the pancake. The coarseness of the peanut was a bit too fine, would prefer to be chopped less fine and maybe in a creamy texture.
As for the tao huay, it has a very soft and smooth texture, fragrance soya bean taste. Amount of sugar syrup added was sufficient. And I think that this tao huay is suitable for all day snacks.

Lunch Feast Smile Mar 06, 2012

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Halal | Zi Char

Brought some of the a la carte dishes which includes oat sotong, fried kailan and the hotpot tofu.
Firstly, the oat sotong is well cooked, cripsy oat coating, sotong is soft and chewy, not too hard. Small slices of chili is added to enhance the taste of the sotong. A very good combination of oat and sotong and is quite unique.
Next the fried kailan was well cooked, quite fresh but the sauce is a bit too salty. Topped with fried onion enhance the taste of the kailan.
Lastly, the hotpot tofu consist of cabbage, slices of corn, prawn, carrot slice and with a layer of egg at the bottom. The tofu was soft and smooth, seasoning was sufficient and not too salty. However the gravy was a bit too little.
Overall, a cafe offering delicious food at affordable price and is worth a try.

Blueberry Pancake Smile Mar 05, 2012

Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

Brought a set of the blueberry pancake for breakfast.
Firstly, the pancake was well cooked, has a soft and spongy texture with blueberry fillings. But the taste of the blueberry was not strong enough as only light taste of blueberry flavour can be tasted. Size of the pancake is acceptable, not too small. Butter and maple syrup was given to enhance the taste and flavour of the pancake. As for the scramble egg, it has a soft and light texture, rich in colour and is well cooked. The flavour of the egg can be adjusted based on personal preference by adding salt and pepper given. Overall, quite a good combination of pancake with scrambled egg as breakfast and is worth the price.

Categories : French | Bakery | Burgers and Sandwiches

Brought one of the Tuna D'licious for dinner.
Firstly, the tuna was well prepared, seasoning was just nice, and is able to taste the freshness of the tuna and generous amount of the tuna was also given. The Tuna D'licious also include slice tomato and lettuce. The bread was well baked, slight crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and goes very well with the tuna.
