Char Siew and Roasted Meat Rice  Smile Jan 07, 2012

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Hawker Centre | Fine Dining | Brunch

Brought a plate of Char Siew and Roasted Meat Rice for lunch.
Firstly, the Char Siew was well cooked, sweet taste, soft and tender texture and contain little fats. However the portion of Char Siew given was a bit little.
As for the Roasted Meat, it was well roasted with a crispy skin, amount of fat in between the meat was just nice, not too many fats and not oily. Lastly, the aroma of the rice was not that fragrance, but was well cooked and not too hard nor sticky.
Their service was quite fast and the presentation was acceptable. Overall, quite worth the price.

Japanese Bento Smile Jan 04, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Brought a bento set for lunch. This bento includes chicken balls, chicken karaage, pork belly and chicken. It is similar to the Tori Q which includes the chicken stick variety but with additional sticks like tempura prawn, pork belly. The chicken sticks are well marinated and cooked. The chicken karaage was also well deep fried, has a tender texture. What I like in this bento is probably the pork belly. Tender and chewy texture and the amount of fat is just right and goes well with the rice, pickles and seaweed.

Japanese Bento Smile Jan 04, 2012

Brought a set of bento for lunch to try out their various sticks of meat.
This bento includes 2 sticks of chickens, 1 stick of chicken ball and 1 stick of chicken
with green pepper with Japanese rice, pickles and seaweed. What I like about this stall is that not only they offer bento set, customer is also able to choose individual sticks for their own bento. Their chicken sticks was well cooked and marinated with teriyaki sauce, soft and tender texture. The rice is also well cooked, not sticky. The pickles and seaweed is also my favourite as both goes very well with the chicken and rice.

Mee Goreng  OK Jan 04, 2012

Although this stall is famous for their Nasi Lemak, but I have chosen to try their Mee Goreng.
Presentation was acceptable, mee goreng was well cooked, has a mild spicy flavour that covers the noodle. Beansprout was also included but was too little, can be given more. Egg was also well cooked, not fried. Lastly their chili goes well with the noodles, sweet and spicy taste. Overall an simple and nice mee goreng at a reasonable price. Would recommend them to add some vegetables in it.

Lunch Time Smile Jan 03, 2012

Side dishes for today lunch look appealing. So I decided to ordered a plate for lunch.
Ordered stir fried chicken with ginger slices, ladyfinger and deep fried beancurd.
For the chicken, soft and tender texture, not overcooked, chicken was cut into small cubes that is acceptable, well seasoned. Chicken gravy was too watery, can be improved. As for the ladyfingers, well cooked, soft and chewy texture, not very sticky, seasoning a little bland and oily. Lastly, the deep fried beancurd is my favourite. Well deep fried, cooked with a sweet and sour sauce which goes well with the rice. Thickness of the sauce was there. Size of the beancurd was satisfy, not too small nor big.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.60(Lunch)
