Categories : Hawker Centre | BBQ

Brought some grilled chicken wings for a side dish for dinner. The chicken was well marinated, has a slight sweet taste, not very oily, well grilled and has a tender texture. Added with lemon to give further enhance the flavour of the grilled chicken wings. The chili provided goes very well with the grilled chicken and has a sweet and sour taste.

SATAY !! Smile Dec 10, 2011
Categories : Singaporean | Hawker Centre

Ordered a total of 20 chicken and 20 pork satay stick for 5 people.
Firstly both the chicken and pork are well marinated, tender and juicy texture, well cooked. However the amount of meat per stick is lesser as compared to other satay stall. Secondly, as for the satay gravy, it is quite different from other stall as their satay gravy has added grated pineapple and not watery. But the presence of the grated pineapple did not bring out the pineapple taste, the peanut was too finely chopped. Lastly, for the rice, it is well cooked and has a nice texture. Overall still worth it to try.

Spending per head: Approximately $21(Dinner)

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Hawker Centre | Noodles

Ordered a plate of Fried kway teow with clams.
The good thing about this Fried kway teow is that it is well cooked, slight sweet taste, clam are quite fresh, bean sprout are added for a crunchy texture and not very oily. However the bad thing is that Fried kway teow is high in cholesterol but is worth trying once a while.

Vegetarian Food Smile Dec 10, 2011
Categories : Food Court | Vegetarian

Brought a packet of vegetarian food which includes pumpkin, brinjal and so called "vegetarian meat". Firstly, the pumpkin has a soft and smooth texture, rich pumpkin taste. It was well cooked, however, the size of the pumpkin was too big and no sauce nor gravy. Secondly, the brinjal was cooked with a sweet sauce, and the brinjal itself is soft and spongy, not overcooked but its a little bit oily. Lastly the "vegetarian meat" has a mini sugarcane stuff in the middle. This particular side dish is quite special because of the combination of the vegetarian meat together with the sugarcane, cooked with a sweet sauce that give a very unique taste. The presence of the sugarcane further enhance the flavour of this dish.

Lor Mee Smile Dec 09, 2011
Categories : Coffeeshop | Noodles | Brunch

Brought a bowl of Lor Mee for breakfast.
This bowl of Lor Mee includes some essential side dishes such as 7 mini deep fried dumplings, slices of meat, deep fried yam slices. Firstly, the mini deep fried dumplings has a crispy texture, size and fillings was acceptable. As for the deep fried yam slices, it was no longer crispy, thickness was there not too thick. The Lor Mee also include some bean sprout and a small portion of vegetable, The noodle portion was also just right, not too many or little. Lastly the thickness of the gravy was there, and the taste was nice with some spices taste. The presentation of this Lor Mee is also very appealing, worth the price.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.80(Breakfast)
