Curry chicken Smile Nov 21, 2011
Categories : Singaporean Chinese

I absolutely love the curry chicken from this economical rice stall. Its not really the kind of curry chicken that comes to mind when we say curry chicken. Its more like, small chunks of chicken in curry. The chicken are normally moist and goes great with the curry. Also, the potatoes are very soft and do not have the powdery texture. It is my favourite dish from this stall and its only available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Chicken hor fun OK Nov 21, 2011

Categories : Singaporean | Food Court | Rice | Kids-Friendly

I was craving for some hor fun and decided to give the hot plate hor fun a try. It was pretty expensive but the hot plate was big so i guess its quite a lot. The hor fun doesn't exactly have the taste of being fried...but it was good, with the hot plate smell and all. I didnt realise there's a whole egg in the dish until the end though since it was on the bottom. It would be nice if they had given more chicken since they gave me really few. There's nothing special about the chicken and they actually stank of a chicken smell. Overall was very average and i probably won't be trying it again anytime soon.

Pork Bun Smile Nov 21, 2011

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Food Court | Dim Sum | Noodles

Wanted to grab a quick breakfast so I bought the pork bun from the stall. Its actually the first time I'm buying anything from the store. The pork bun was pretty average, just like any other pork bun you can find out there. The filling smells great, the bun is moist and overall was tasty. It cost me around $0.80 if I'm not wrong.

Spending per head: Approximately $0.80(Breakfast)

Kinder SURPRISE! Smile Nov 21, 2011

I was thrilled to see cocoa tree opening an outlet in jurong point. I really wanted to get kinder surprise because it is probably one of the very few snack shops in singapore that carries the product. For their opening, cocoa tree was having a promotion of 50% discount for the 2nd item purchased.

Anyway, i got a box of kinder surprise (4 eggs) for $10.60. The milk chocolate is still as good as before and carries a hint of hazel nut. The 'surprise' toys are probably the reason for the high price. Unlike kinder joy, the toys are of high quality and well designed. Would make a perfect gift for someone who loves kinder's chocolates.

Spending per head: Approximately $10.70

Dry fishabll noodles.  Smile Nov 21, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Noodles

I had the dry fishball noodles from e.a.t for lunch. The sauce they use is sweet and slightly sour. The mixture is actually pretty good. It was a little too dry for me halfway into eating and thankfully they gave a relatively big bowl of soup. The soup was a little bland but at least had some taste to it. It was pretty good but i prefer their fishball noodles soup since i normally prefer to eat noodles with soup.
