Choco Exotic Smile Oct 18, 2011   (Related Review)

I love Four Leaves' cakes and it was my first time trying the Choco Exotic. Like all other chocolate cakes, I was worried it'd be too sweet for my liking and indeed, it was too sweet. However, the cake has a unique layer of crunchy cereal/biscuit. It tastes just like Kinder Bueno, which only adds on to the sweetness of the already sweet cake.

Although it tastes good, its just too sweet for one person. It'd be a good idea to share the cake between 2 people so that one won't get sick of it. Its actually one of the more expensive cakes Four Leaves sells. It costs $3.50 per slice.

Spending per head: Approximately $3.50

Grape rock candy Smile Oct 18, 2011

Categories : Australian / New Zealand

I bought the Grape Rock Sticky Candy. I love their candy although I'm not a big fan of sweet candies. The clear hard candy outlining the fine sugar of the candy has a strong grape flavor. The candy on the inner candy melts in the mouth. Its a perfect candy for sweet tooth. Personally, its too sweet for me to have many of them at one go so normally a pack can last me pretty long.

Teriyaki handroll Smile Oct 18, 2011

Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

It was the first time I'm having the Teriyaki Handroll. It costs $2.10 and has to be ordered. I've never seen one on the conveyor belt actually. Anyway, the teriyaki chicken was unexpectedly crunchy. The sauce used was great too. The chicken was surprisingly good in the handroll. However, since its chicken, its pretty hard to eat it along with the handroll as it keeps sliding out. Overall it was really good and my sister even ordered one for herself after trying mine. Will definitely have it again.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.10

Tomato Roc & Roll's Smile Oct 18, 2011   (Related Review)

Decided to pick up another bag of Roc & Roll's since the cheese flavoured Roc & Roll's weren't too bad. I bought the Sweet Tomato flavour. I like tomato flavoured snacks and had a pretty high expectation of it. Its just like chachos but rolled up. It was strongly flavoured the sweet tomato flavouring and it was actually better than the cheese flavour. Costs only $3.50 and its probably around 3/4 the size of big packs of chachos.

Spending per head: Approximately $3.50

Chicken cutlet w/ egg & mushrooms OK Oct 18, 2011

Categories : Dim Sum | Noodles

Mayim has introduced new menus and now the menus are easier to read and the items are properly categorised. Other changes made include: Slight price increase in items, different pricing system, new items and a 'xiao cai'. The xiao cai was served automatically after I've made my order. It costs $0.50 per person but its refillable. You can also request for them to not serve it.

Anyway, I tried one of their new dishes, the golden fried chicken cutlet served with egg and button mushroom in hot pan. Although it looked really good, it was actually pretty tasteless. Everything was tasteless. The egg was half-cooked, the way I like it but it had only a slight hint of egg's taste. The chicken was moist but absolutely no unique taste except for the oil.

It costs $9.80 and is a pretty big serving but definitely not worth it.

Spending per head: Approximately $9.80(Lunch)
