Seafood yaki soba Smile Sep 12, 2012

I went to yakiyakibo for dinner and ordered for the seafood yaki soba. This is my favourite food item in the restaurant. It is Japanese style fried noodles. The yellow noodles are very springy and no stinky "yellow noodles smell". There is a sweet sauce used for the dish which sticks to the noodles. Its not too sweet and is a perfect complement. The seafood used is very fresh. Overall, it is very delicious and filling. I have had it several times and have been recommending it to people. Costs only $11.90.

Grand Sampler Smile Sep 12, 2012

I was at Bugis+ and decided to have the Grand Sampler at Astons for lunch. It costs $13.90. It comes with four kinds of sausages. Some uses chicken meat, others uses pork. The sauce that comes alone is same/similar to the sauce they use for their mashed potatoes.

The sausages were very good, with a really crispy outer skin. In fact when I took a bite out of one of the sausages, there was a "POP!" sound in my mouth that surprised my friends. The insides are very juicy. Overall, these sausages are very well cooked with great taste. I personally prefer to eat it plain without the sauce. I would totally have it again.

Fishball noodles  Smile Sep 12, 2012

This stall is opened recently and I decided to have the fishball noodles for lunch. Their service is very fast and good. It was ready within a minute. Really appreciate fast service like this. The fishball noodles is really good. The noodles don't have the stinky noodles smell and its very springy. The soup isn't too oily and has a just-nice taste. The fishballs are fresh and sweet. Costs only $3.50. Overall I liked it and has already had the fishball noodles at this stall thrice. Probably the best fishball noodles in Jurong Point as of right now.

Peking duck Smile Sep 12, 2012

Went to Nanxiang for lunch. Ordered for half a roasted peking duck. The peking duck is served in 2 different plates. One of is is the duck skin, wrapped in egg crepe. It comes with a special sauce which is very strong tasting and sweet. My family like it but I didn't so its probably up to personal preference. The other plate served the duck meat, which is covered in Kobe BBQ sauce. Its moist and sweet. We tried having both the skin and the meat together in one mouthful and it is delicious that way. It costs only $35. Wouldn't mind going back for the peking duck again.

Fried chicken curry rice  Smile Sep 12, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

Was at Great World City and decided to dine at Bishamon for lunch. Ordered for the fried chicken curry rice which costs $12.50. It comes with a side salad too.

The rice isn't Japanese rice but at least its pretty moist. The curry is Japanese curry but its not as thick as the Japanese curry served at other Japanese restaurants. However, it was sweet and tasty. Although the fried chicken does look dry, it was actually very moist on the inside. It goes well with the curry. In addition, they gave a generous serving of chicken.

Overall it was very filling and pretty acceptable. Wouldn't mind going back again.
