Tahu Goreng OK Mar 17, 2013
Categories : Malay | Food Court

Tried tahu goreng before a few times and really liked it.

Ordered from this stall and it costs $3.50. It doesn’t look the same as what I’ve had before.

The sauce and overall taste is also different. The sauce is like the black sweet sauce with chilli and mixed with peanuts.

The portion is quite small and it isn’t really worth for the price.

Although it tastes different and is considered pretty expensive, it is quite nice with the mild salty and sweet flavour mixed together on the fried beancurd.

The service is quite good too.(:

Handmade noodles OK Mar 17, 2013
Categories : Food Court

Ordered the normal yee mee which costs $3.80.

There was quite a long queue and the wait was quite a while.

The soup is quite tasteful. Part of the noodles is a little crispy and the rest is also pretty crunchy. It is not soggy ;D

The ingredient in it isn’t a lot. The meat is one big piece that tastes different from the other handmade stalls. It is soft and well-seasoned.

The standard is average. It is not that worth it for the price though, as we can get it elsewhere at around $2.50-$3.

However all the food sold there costs around that price.

Class BBQ OK Mar 17, 2013

Categories : Malay | Singaporean | Halal | BBQ

Held a class bbq and ordered the bbq ingredients from bbq wholesale ;D

The packages are quite affordable.

They have the cooked items like the bee hoon, fried rice, pasta and beef lasagna.

The cooked items taste okay, it’s of average standard.

The chicken wings are juicy and tasty. And we really liked their otah.

The otah is different from those we get outside. The texture of the otah is jelly type and it is really soft.

It is not too spicy and the taste of it is unique and special.

The garlic bread is also quite nice too ;D

Although the items from bbq wholesale is not of a high standard, it is an affordable choice for a simple gathering bbq as a class or with family lol

Mixed rice OK Mar 09, 2013
Categories : Food Court

The prices of the food sold in the koufu here is pretty expensive.

So we chose this mixed rice stall which is slightly more affordable.

The food doesn't really look appetizing though, and it is located at the corner hence there isn’t really much business.
Ordered 1 veg and 1 meat and it costs $2.70.

The amount they gave is really little as compared to what we get elsewhere.

There are only a few pieces of sweet and sour pork and a small serving of long beans.

Glad that it is actually quite nice, even though the looks doesn’t look as nice.

The long beans are tasteful and fragrant. Not too salty and goes well with the white rice.

As for the sweet and sour pork, it has an acceptable standard and it is crispy and quite well flavoured.

Other than that the serving portion is quite little for the price, in terms of taste, the mixed rice from this stall is actually pretty good.(:

Ham & Cheese OK Mar 09, 2013
Categories : Japanese | Stall / Kiosk | Brunch

Bought four of the ham and cheese tako yaki at $3 ;D

The tako yaki is crispy outside, and it is soft inside.

The ham and cheese filling isn’t a lot though, there isn’t much of a cheese taste and the ham is only a few small pieces.

Although it is crispy outside, it isn’t very fresh as it is left for quite some time and is reheated before they serve.

The crispy is different from those that are made on the spot and really fresh and crispy.

The tako yaki also turned cold quickly not long after I bought it.

It saves a lot of waiting time but would prefer it to be freshly made on the spot so it will taste better.

Nonetheless, I still loved the tako yaki coupled with teriyaki sauce and fish flakes lol
