Soup Ba Chor Mee ;D Smile May 30, 2013

Would definitely order this bar chor mee everytime I eat at 85 bedok ;D

It is famous for its uniqueness of soup minced meat noodle. Normally there’s only the dried one but they have the soup one here.

Consumers do have to be careful not to go to the wrong stall as one stall also sells the soup one, and also the dried one.

Original one would be the stall that sells ONLY the soup bar chor mee.

We placed our order and they delivered to our table.
The noodle is the thin round noodles. There is the yellow noodles taste but it is not rejecting when it goes with the soup base.

The soup base is fragrant, plain and simple. The taste is just right and not overly flavoured.

It has the fresh sweetness from the minced meat and other ingredients used to brew the soup base ;D

It is different from the soup of other noodles like the fishball noodles soup base. It is thicker lol

It is served in a simple way too, just noodles in soup, with a few pieces of meatballs.

The meatball is nice and fresh, although there is a slight fishy taste.

Would recommend this dish, a must try when eating at 85 bedok.

Hazelnut Milk Tea Smile May 29, 2013

Categories : Taiwanese | Bubble Tea/ Tea

Its lunch hour and the wait were around 10-15minutes.

When I just approached the counter, the cashier was asking if we want pearls even before we order.
After which then did she explain that the pearl requires a wait of 15 minutes.

Understand her motive in doing this but I felt it would instead confuse customers. Moreover her attitude isn't very welcoming.

I ordered the hazelnut milk tea.

First time trying the hazelnut flavor and really like it a lot ;D

The taste of milk tea fragrance is strong and nice.

It is not too bland and the hazelnut taste enhanced the flavor. Chose 50% sugar level and the sweetness is just right lol

Would try ordering it with 25% sugar level the next time though ;D

White Fried Carrot Cake Smile May 29, 2013

Categories : Hawker Centre

There is a few stalls selling fried carrot cake and I chose this stall over the others.

Initially after I ordered and got my plate of fried carrot cake, I regret choosing this stall because the auntie wasn't very friendly.

The service is not very good and when the food is ready they simply left it above the utensils holder and I have to get it myself. They did not say anything and I'm not sure if that’s mine but since it matches with what I ordered so I just took it.

The plate of $2.50 white fried carrot cake looks small too.

The portion is quite little on the plate used. Hence presentation wise isn’t very good.

However glad that it tastes quite delicious ;D

The outer is quite crispy and the carrot cake is really soft and tasteful.

The amount of egg is average.

As a whole it is fragrant and nice. Really like the texture and softness. I hardly need to chew to swallow it.

The ingredients and seasoning is just right. Although it is a little too salty but still, it is tasty lol

Would recommend this white carrot cake based on its taste. If considering the service and other aspects, it isn’t that worth it then.

Nonetheless, worth giving it a try for the taste ;D

Dinner ;D Smile Apr 30, 2013

Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Chinese Desserts | Desserts and Cakes

Had dinner with my mum at around 8pm.

Wanted to order the Gold-Dusted Chicken Cutlet Rice but it is out of stock.

So I ordered the Gold-Dusted Pork Cutlet Rice instead, while my mum ordered the Steamed pork belly rice with preserved vegetables.

Added on the current promotion where we just have to add $1.50 to get a side and a dessert.

Sides we got are carrot cake and yam cake, and desserts are almond paste and sesame paste.

The food came within 10 minutes and at a nice warm temperature.

They served the sides and desserts at the same time too.

For the Steamed pork belly rice with preserved vegetables, the sauce is too little and the rice is a little dry.
The meat and preserved vegetables is not a lot too.

It still tastes quite nice though.(:
The pork is not too fatty and the meat is tender and nice.

As for my Gold-Dusted Pork Cutlet Rice, the pork cutlet is quite a lot.

The noodles is not too dry but there is those taste of the ‘yellow’ noodles.

The seasoning of the pork is quite strong and it makes the dish tasteful ;D

As for the desserts, they are really delicious as it is thick and not watery.

The taste is strong and really nice;D

It is quite affordable to dine here lol

Black Pepper Flamer ;D Smile Apr 30, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : American | Fast Food | Ice Cream and Gelato | Burgers and Sandwiches | Kids-Friendly

Tried the new black pepper flamer set with upsize at $6.95.

First time trying and like it a lot ;D

The black pepper meat is richly flavoured and it tastes a little like curry kind of black pepper.

The meat is soft, tender and really juicy.

Unlike the previous black pepper burger launched for a limited period, this time's black pepper is not too spicy and the taste is just right.

Although it is slightly salty, it still tastes pretty well as a whole.

The shaker fries this time is the Citrus Thai Shaker Fries.
Initially I thought it would taste somewhat like orange since it is citrus, but I really love it after trying it.

It tastes like the Thai Tom yum flavour. Not too spicy or sour.

The powder is not too salty either even when I put the whole packet of the powder with the fries.

Like it a lot ^^

The Lychee McFrizz is quite nice too.
The lychee taste isn't too strong but the drink is refreshing. It is quite similar to sprite Except that it has the lychee flavour.

Really like this new burger as a whole. Should try it!;D
