Lemon Aloe Vera OK Dec 27, 2012
Categories : Stall / Kiosk

It was my first time trying this drink: lemon aloe vera. It costs $2.30 per cup. Glad that the waiting time was quite fast.(:

When ordering, they did not ask for my preferred sugar level, but luckily the drink wasn't too sweet..instead its more of sour.
It actually had quite an equal combination of sweetness and sourness.

It's a refreshing drink, supposing its a healthier choice compared to other flavours? ;D

One dislike is that the amount of aloe vera in the drink is meagre..I could hardly eat the aloe vera.
Initially I thought probably it will be left after the drink was finished but there was hardly any left after finishing my drink, so that's quite a disappointment.

Overall it's still quite acceptable, nice tasting drink but requires improvement on the amount of topping given.(:

Fried kway teow OK Apr 29, 2012
Categories : Food Court | Noodles

I walked through all the stalls and as expected, all the food costs a lot more than the price from normal food court. It was hard to make a choice since everything was so expensive.
Finally I decided on the fried kway teow from this stall, which costs $6.

The portion isn’t a lot, in fact some other food court which sells at a much lower price gives a larger portion.
The taste wasn’t really that fantastic either. Even though I am one who goes for a heavier taste, this fried kway teow is definitely overly-salted. That has covered the sweet taste it is supposed to have.
Nonetheless, I liked how the kway teow is, being chewy and not too soft. It is not too oily too.(:
However, if I had the choice I would definitely not dine at this food court as the price is considered to be absurdly high.

One thing I should mention regarding the service. Before I even had the chance to order, I heard the stall owner speaking in a hostile manner towards one of his customer. After a few minutes of observation, it seems like because the customer is a tourist and could not really speak or understand English well, so that has irritated the stall owner. They ended up communicating in Chinese and the stall owner scolded the customer and said he should say so earlier that he could speak better in Chinese.
The owner even scolded and said that he has stood the whole day and has been very busy, that he is very tired already.
When it was my turn to order, he also used an attitude which I strongly felt was not what an owner should be using towards his customers, no matter what happens. Hence in terms of service, I would say it’s very bad.

Manhattan fish market  OK Apr 01, 2012
Categories : American | Seafood | Halal | Kids-Friendly

There was this offer going for two days on the 29th and 30th of march, where the ala carte fish & chips are at only the price of $3.99.
After the GST charge it is $4.30. and if we would like to add a drink to the meal it would be $1 for a small cup of coke.

The fish tasted normal. I personally didn’t really like the outer coating, but was fine with the fish within which was soft and smooth.(:
As for the fries, I do not like how it taste plain and has strong potato taste.

Overall for the price paid, it was considered nice meal.(:

Pig organ soup! OK Mar 31, 2012
Categories : Food Court | Chinese Soup

It was my first time dining at this koufu food court and I decided on the pig organ soup.
In terms of price, it was quite a standard price but the ingredients in the soup were not a lot.
Service was average.

It taste quite normal, and the soup was not too salty. However, the meatball was not very nice as the taste was a little weird. Other than that, the rest of the ingredients were alright.

Passion fruit red tea OK Mar 31, 2012
Categories : Taiwanese | Juices

Bought the passion fruit red tea with pearls, and was quite disappointed with the taste.
The shop looks similar to those of gong cha and drink tea, so I was expecting at least an equivalent standard to those bubble tea shops.

I bought it in the medium size and it cost $2.90. I felt it taste nothing special and it is similar to the taste of passion fruit red tea I got from normal bubble tea shops like sweet talk.

It was a little plain and the pearls are not as nice too. So I felt that it is not worth it to spend the higher price to get it here, would rather buy it at normal bubble tea shops.
