alfredo pasta upsized Smile Apr 27, 2012

i went to pasta mania with my hubby. I was really hungry that day so I decided to order their alfredo pasta upsize. I love pasta mania cos their food get served really fast. The alfredo pasta is one of the nicest I have eaten. Their cream sauce is very creamy yet it is not too thick. The sauce is very tasty as well. They added a lot of peas into the dish. One thing about their cream sauce is you won’t get sick of eating it after awhile unlike other pasta restaurants where you get really sick of the sauce. They are very generous with their ham and chicken. Their chicken is very tender and succulent. I ordered fusilli, the pasta cooked perfectly, not too hard not is it too soft. Most importantly it does not stick to your teeth. the upsized portion is indeed larger than the normal portion, it is very filling.

pork curry ramen Smile Apr 27, 2012

Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Ramen

I went to ajisen with my hubby for dinner. I love the ramen there, I ordered their pork curry ramen. The curry soup was really good, it was not too thick but the soup was very tasty. The curry smell in the soup was strong yet not too overpowering. The pork was very thinly sliced, yet the meat is very soft and chewy when placed into the soup, it was coated perfectly with the curry. The ramen was really good, very chewy and QQ and most importantly it does not stick to your teeth. There was a very generous amount of vegetables in the soup, very healthy. i like the lu dan that they added into the dish, it is very flavourful. This curry series ramen is really good.

cute mini donuts Smile Apr 26, 2012

the donuts from house of mini was really very cheap. I bought two mini donuts for afternoon tea and they only cost $1 each. they were very prettily decorated. I like the chocolate nuts donut. The donut itself is very fragrant. It is also very fluffy. The chocolate they coat the top is not too sweet, I love their generousity of the nuts they added on top the donut. It gave the donut a contrast in texture. The other donut I bought had white chocolate. The white chocolate seems slightly sweeter than the dark chocolate. But it was very delicious too.

dry wanton noodles Smile Apr 26, 2012

Categories : Food Court

I had dinner at bukit panjang plaza the other day. The food selection was pretty good. But I settled for something more pocket friendly – old pontian. I ordered their dry wanton noodles. They had two sizes, large or small. I opted for the small one cos my appetite was not too big that day. But on normal occasion, I think the large size is just right cos the portion of the small one was pretty miserable. In the dish, there were two kinds of wanton, two fried ones and two soup ones. The soup ones tasted really nice, probably because the soup was really tasty. I like the sauce that they added to the noodles, it is some black sauce, sweetish saltish. The fried wanton was very crunchy, a contrast to the soup wanton. the noodles was very crunchy too, not overcooked! the char siew was rather thinly sliced but they gave quite alot.

assam fish curry is good Smile Apr 26, 2012

Categories : Multi-Cuisine | Café | Halal | Zi Char

after dropping something off at the inlaws place, my hubby and I headed to yew tee point for a late dinner. We decided to order their assam fish curry for dinner. The portion of the assam fish was really large. It was served on a large dish. There were a lot pineapples in the dish, my favourite fruit. The pineapples added acidity to the dish. there was also long beans, gave the dish a crunchy addition.

The gravy was sweetish and sourish at the same time. The fish meat was really very fresh, it is smooth and succulent. The assam gravy is very tasty, not too spicy as well. goes well with their steamed white rice.
