I love my japanese food Smile Mar 04, 2011

It looks like a restaurant on the outside but the concept is like a foodcourt. And what I like about it is that it hosts a variety of Japanese foodfare. There is a stall that sells bento set but you get to choose the sides that you want to have with your rice or fan tuan. I had the teriyaki salmon as the main meat course. The salmon is quite thick in cutting and well coated with the teriyaki sauce. I like it thick so that I can taste the original taste of the salmon as it will not be musked by the teriyaki sauce. The texture of the salmon is lightly dry though. As for the chawamushi, the taste is not as flavourable compared to what you will get at japanese restaurants. Overall still an affordable japanese fare.

Taking a break from the shopping Smile Mar 03, 2011

We were looking for a place for coffee before we continue with our shopping. As we were in a group of 5, the service staff helped to creat a tables big enough for us. As usual, I order coffee. The standard of the coffee was maintained as it was still so full of flavours and you can taste the aroma of the roasted coffee beans. We had some snacks to share among us. The wedges were still so good. The chicken wings were delicious too...quite spicy but I like it. Service was good.

Nice food and good service Smile Mar 03, 2011

We were there to meet friends. When we arrived, there was no available table inside the restaurant so we sat outside. Since it was already 5 plus 6, it was not so hot, we were okay with it. We placed our order for drinks and snacks first since our friend has not reached. My cafe latte was very nice. As for the potatoes wedges with melted cheese dip, I love the cheese dip and they were quite generous with it. The wedges were piping hot and very crispy yet soft in the inside.

Service wise is good as the staff was aware we were waiting for a friend and did not chase us for the bill. Very friendly. It is a good place to rest and relax while enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Fried fish slices noodles soup OK Mar 03, 2011

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Food Court | Chinese Soup

We were quit early and wanted to have something else besides the breakfast set from the drinks stall. So we waited till this stall is open and we bought the fried fish slices noodles soup. The soup is ordinary to me, nothing too special. The noodles is soft and well cooked. As for the fried fish slices, they are a bit soggy since they have been left inside the soup. However, they are still quite fresh but I can taste a slight mud taste. Better to have it dipped in soya sauce with chilli. That will be better.

A healthy snack Smile Mar 03, 2011

Mr bean has a variety of soya bean drinks. I love their normal soya bean drink as well as their chendol soya bean drink and aalmond soya bean drink. This time round, I had the chendol soya bean drink. It really tasted like chendol as all the necessary ingredients are inside the drink and of course without the coconut milk.

The red beans and the green green ingredient ( I do not know what it it called) are very nice. Together with the coconut syrup, the taste was very nice although slightly on the sweeter side as it was supposed to be a dessert. A very outstanding combination with the soya bean milk. I am hooked.
