KFC Burger and Fries OK Mar 04, 2013
Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

I have wanted to try this because unlike usual grilled or fried burgers that we see in most fast food restaurants, this burger is claimed to be roasted. So off I went to try this 'new' burger!

The chicken fillet sandwiched between the oat-bran bread was juicy and tender, with pieces of lettuce to supplement its flavour. The sauce was nice too, leaving a sweet and savoury taste in my mouth. And of course I had to order cheese fries which was my favourite! A nice and fufilling meal.

Ice cream at Andersen's OK Mar 04, 2013
Categories : Ice Cream and Gelato

Ordered the Couple Fondue for a friend's birthday. We were allowed to choose 5 ice cream flavours of our choice like Belgian Chocolate Chip, Cookies and Cream and Rum and Raisins etc. It came with warm chocolate (of course), slices of fruits and waffles and cookies and mashmallows.

The portion was a bit small to be shared among four people but then it's meant to be couple fondue so I guess it's okay. Overall the ice cream were good and I love the warm chocolate!

Gelato at Ci Gusta OK Mar 04, 2013
Categories : Italian | European | Ice Cream and Gelato

Ci Gusta was an Italian franchise selling gelato, the new in-thing now. The portion (small pint) was quite expensive for its price I would say, but then its considered artisanal ice cream so I guess it is supposed to be expensive?

Ordered caramel and chocolate in a small pint. The taste was creamy yet light. And the small portion was not too overwhelming either. I like the design of the shop which was blue and white. However, have to take note that as the shop is rather small, you may have to take away. I found the place a little dirty though, didn't know why the staff didn't bother cleaning up for other customers especially since the place is pretty small.

Xiaolongbao at Paradise Dynasty OK Mar 04, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Shanghainese | Restaurant | Dim Sum | Noodles

We ordered two sets of xiaolongbao at the newly opened PD at choa chu kang Lot One. Tried their signature dish of eight different kinds of xiaolongbao - Original, Garlic, Ginseng, Foie Gras, Black Truffle, Cheese, Crab Roe, and Szechuan. And we also had one dish of six original xiaolongbao. It's affordable for the price given and taste was good!

Also I had their signature La Mian with braised pork belly. The broth was good and the la mian was tasty and filling. However, personally, I would have preferred if the soup was less oily. The portion was just nice, and xiaolongbao was enough for a group of four I would say. Overall, good service as the staff came over and told us to faster eat the xiaolongbao before it cools and also to eat in which order.

Went on a Friday evening with a group of friends. I ordered the curry chicken baked rice, while my friends tried out the creamy seafood baked rice and the shrimp curry rice, which came with a small bowl of salad. The price paid was comparable to a similar meal outside in restaurants. I liked the curry chicken baked rice, and I would say the portion is worth its price. But my friend who had the creamy seafood rice did not really liked it as the taste of the cheese was too strong for her liking.

The location of the restaurant was a bit weird as we were seated at another part of the restaurant which was near the handrails of the shopping mall (opposite crystal jade). Hence it might have contributed to the service staff not really paying much attention to our side and we pretty much had to go up to the staff to get what we wanted.
