I have come to wala wala's for drinks and music but have never tried their food before. I was planning to go there early one of the nights so was checking online for food reviews. When i saw that many have recommended the walapenos and i really loved that dish and i knew i had to order it!

So yes we had the walapenos, which were cheese-stuffed fried jalapenos and they were really spicy but the melted cheese in it were oh so good! slurps.. the chicken wings were decent as well with quite a good serving size. We were hungry so we ordered the pizza as well. there were many different types and you can do a half-and-half so we had the cheesy mushroom on one side and the italian ham with rocket on the other. I liked the cheesy mushroom but i thought the cheese was abit too heavy handed.. good if you really love cheese and are craving junk food. We also liked that the ham slices were generous, so thunbs up for that as well.

I will definitely recommend to go there for food first if you happen to go their for the live bands.

If you had to bring your girlfriend to a hidden place with great food and you do not mind splurging abit, Vineyard is the place!

The charming french restaurant is hidden amidst the green garden scape of HortPark and because it is secluded if you go on a week day you can almost have a 90% chance of having the whole restaurant to yourself!

Firstly, as a french restaurant, you can expect free flow of bread from most of them. Although the bread were delicious, the presentation of the bread was somewhat lowly in comparison to the rest becase it came in a kind of baking case that people use to put cakes straight in the oven. Nevertheless, no complaints there.

I love a good onion soup so I ordered one and the beef broth was really thick and tasty. The stock was also not overpowering with the smell of beed, and the cheese gratin on top was done well, proportionate to the ratio of soup so that it does not take over the dish. Thumbs up to that!

For mains, I had the Malabar snapper, served with couscous, broccollini, roasted
vine tomatoes & essence of bell peppers. The presentation was wonderful and as with many fine didning places, the food portions look small but it was filling. Snapper was fresh and 'fat', and even the simple vegetables were cooked so well you really taste the freshness of it.

My boyfriend had the olive oil–poached Tenderloin, served with pickled orange & arugula–datesalad, hazelnuts, grilled king mushroom & red wine sauce. Beef was done superbly well and ever so tender. Mushroom was succulently grilled and everything just fell so well together!

We didn;t order a dessert because we were just too full, but seriously, the quality of food is good. It was not cheap though, just the tenderloin already cost $48. To get it cheaper and if you have friends who drive, do go for their set lunches which are basically the same mains at half the price!

Came here for dinner with a friend after work.. was surprise that it wasn't so crowded as the last time I came on a weekend and the queue was quite a nightmare.

As all who are familiar with marche food, theres the few that people often order - rosti, crepe, bbq meats... We ordered a savoury crepe, the mushroom one. This was actually my first time ordering it here coz im not really a crepe person but it was rather tasty! and I liked that it was verey very filling as well.. the crepe was filled with mushroom and theres a juiciness to it.. I'm not sure if they added cheese though because it tastes like there is!

We also ordered a half chicken to share.. chicken was abit dry but you just had to pour the sauce over and its good to go. Tasty nonetheless though those who prefer juicy and succulent meat may not like it.

Good value and marche being marche, you will never really find problem with it!

Walked to keppel bay on a weekend for some relaxation and coffee.. it was too early for lunch, so ordered this dish called crsipy fish goujon- Parmesan-crumbed fish fingers served with remoulade dip. It was very small serving for 2 person to share.. but nevertheless, the dish was not oily and nicely crusted.

However, as this was probably the only more 'affordable' restaurant at Keppel Bay.. it was very crowded and too shorthanded.. We waited for about 10 to 15 minutes each time we needed to get someone to order, to ask for water refill or to get the bill.. and because it was so crowded it almost made the  supposedly tranquail environment stiffling.

I really love these budget salads in hawker centres which show that eating healthy salads doesnt have to cost a double digit amount. After finding B salad at Amoy, I found Fruitilicious at Golden Shoe!

They are pretty new, just opened this year i think, and are having an ongoing promotion of $4.50 with 5 toppings and dressing. What's lovely is that these toppings include proteins like chicken and tuna!

I tried them out and the portion was great.. I had the base of greens, with chickpeas, pumpkins, boiled egg, chilli tuna (recommended!) and chicken. The lady recommended their sesame dressing.. which was supposedly healthy.

I think the dressings for any salad is important.. and obviously in order to eat healthy you really shouldnt have anything full of fat and creamy.. so the dressing was abit too creamy for me.. so much s that it overpowered everything.. Its tasty but I think the trick is to ask for half the dressing.

Im a little disappointed with th pumpkins coz they were not roasted and not boiled enough so it was a bit hard.. so the lovely pumpkins at B salad is still my first love!

In terms of variety of toppings.. its not very much.. so I dont think it will be very sustainable to eat it everyday.. but then again you can always rotate around with salad corner.

Would go back anytime and will probably be a staple at least twice a week!
