Roti prata Cry Feb 03, 2014   (Related Review)
Categories : Coffeeshop

The roti prata sold here tasted below average. 2 pieces of roti prata cost $2.20. An additional 1 piece costs $1.30. They were poor in texture - soft and slightly soggy, not at all warm/hot or crisp. The curry also tasted average. I'll suggest you to give it a miss.

Carrot cake Cry Jan 24, 2014   (Related Review)

Carrot cake

Carrot cake

The carrot cake here costs $2.50. There were more white carrot cake than fried egg but the taste was balanced.
It tasted average only and it was way too oily for my liking. Portion is filling enough for 1 person and is appropriate for its price. I'll not recommend you to get this unless you have a huge craving.

Glutinous rice  Cry Jan 24, 2014   (Related Review)

Glutinous rice

Glutinous rice

Got a packet of brown glutinous rice for $1.20 and it was a huge disappointment. It tasted way below average and the rice was hard and dry. It tasted nothing like the usual brown glutinous rice and there was a weird taste. Couldn't finish it in the end. Luckily it's only $1.20.

Char kway tiao Cry Jan 24, 2014

Char kway tiao $3.80. The portion was just right for the price of $3.80. The taste was disappointing and fell below average. It was quite oily and there was a lack of aroma and no wok's taste even though it was fried in a wok. It was also rather oily. The texture was moist enough though (probably due to the oil). I'll rate it a 4.5/10.

mediocre Cry Jan 20, 2014

Categories : Thai | Seafood

Bought deal coupons online for $14.50 each. After taxes, gst and free flow of ice-lemon tea for $3.90++, we ended up paying $23 for each person. Initially we ordered 1 ice-lemon tea and I took a sip of my friend's tea to try and the manager(? person wearing shirt) saw and told me that it was not meant for sharing but he added another portion into our bill without telling us. Ordered the kai lan vegetables but it did not come and we decided to give up waiting. Food was mediocre and the tom yum soup which was supposed to be one of the highlights of thai cuisine was such a disappointment. There was a lack of tom yum taste and ingredients were not fresh. It is a buffet but there are a couple of dishes that we can only order once. I'm better off ordering ala carte from a thai restaurant than paying a discounted price (yet over $20) for mediocre food.
