Ice-cream waffles Smile Jan 23, 2014

I like how this ice-cream parlour is hidden behind the bustling side of Holland Village. It makes for a good chilling place to catch up with friends.

My plate of waffles was warm, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside and it went really well with my hazelnut haven cream($5.80).

They are actually famous for their home-made ice-cream. All ice-cream are actually made from scratch with fresh ingredients and I really like how it is still very affordable.

Only con may be that, this parlour is always crowded even on a weekday noon.

Ice-cream! Smile Jan 23, 2014

Settled for dessert at Baskin Robbins as they were having promotion at another rather newly opened outlet at JEM.

Regular scoop ($6.00) with complimentary waffles biscuit. I really love the chocolate peanut butter flavour, indeed a fan of reese as well as the cotton candy flavour!

The good thing about baskin is that they have A LOT of flavours for you to choose and to try. Service there is good as well because the service crew is really patient even though it gets busy.

Japanese buffet! Smile Jan 23, 2014

Since my boyfriend was craving for some good food or sushi or sashimi, we decided to settle dinner at momiji for japanese buffet. Snow crabs was definitely the highlight of this buffet, for me at least, love it so much that I think I ate at least 8-10 of them while he enjoyed his wagyu beef and sashimi.

On top of that, both of us love how they serve free flow of haagen daz ice-cream here as well! Dinner buffet on a weekend costs around $36.80++ but it's definitely worth it, for the wide variety of food, drinks and desserts (chocolate fondue, ice-cream, eclairs, etc).

TWG Smile Jan 23, 2014

TWG is well known for its finest tea and for the first time, I actually met up with my cousin from overseas for high tea during dinner time.

We ordered various sets of desserts, from chocolate molten to scones and more. What surprised us was that the manager of this outlet actually gave us complimentary macarons of 5 different flavours! What could actually be better than good service from a rather high end cafe? lol

I really love their macarons because each and everyone of them is actually infused with tea flavouring that makes it very special.

Although it's rather pricey, but worth it! (:

D'good Cafe Smile Jan 23, 2014

Located conveniently at Holland Village, this cafe has added a touch of coziness to the already laidback town.

English Breakfast ($16.50)
There isn’t much choice for brunch if you’re looking at having some eggs and we decided to settle for this and classic eggs ben. This came with the scrambled eggs tasting well-balanced and not too creamy, and the brioche slightly toasted. Mushrooms were flavourful enough.

Eggs Benedict ($13.50)
This managed to serve up perfectly poached eggs, with every ounce of the yolk flowing. The hollandaise sauce was a great complement to it, with the right amount and creaminess so that it doesn’t overwhelm.

All in all, there's nothing much to whine about for the non service charge price but I personally feel it can be better!
