I was really excited that the west side of Singapore has become a food heaven especially when one of my fav dessert cafes has opened at Westgate.

To be honest, the lemon meringue tart doesn't taste as good as the one at ngee ann city (flagship store) but the chocolate tart and strawberry mille-feuille definitely had satisfied my cravings.

Do remember to order a pot of tea to go along with your desserts because it will be really refreshing! (:

It was quite a weird timing when my boyfriend and I wanted to dine at Au Chocolat.

We decided to order truffle fries and garlic prawn pesto bow pasta for sharing since both of us weren't that hungry and that we wanted to save more money for hong kong. Their truffle fries tasted pretty good with sufficient truffle taste and the pasta was sooooooo yummy, extremely love the juicy tiger prawns.

Though the prices of the food are rather costly, they are worth every cents smile

This was my second time trying at wild honey, but at mandarin gallery's outlet due to an unsuccessful attempt trip to canopy dining and bar.

We were lucky enough on that day because we didn't have to wait as there wasn't any queue despite it was a saturday.

My craving for all day breakfast was satisfied with such a huge portion of scrambled eggs (you can choose poached, sunny-side as well, up to own preference), bacon, mushroom, sausage, tomato, baked beans and toast! Whereas my boyfriend ordered european breakfast which consists of two eggs benedict with parma ham, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on brioche toast. However he finds their parma ham was quite mediocre.

Though it may not be the best brunch restaurant but it's good enough for people who have breakfast cravings during the night time! lol

I specially made a reservation at Ocean Restaurant opened by Cat Cora for my boyfriend's birthday more than a month in advance to secure a good seating.

What has attracted me was its exquisite fine dining experience, dining with the fishes.

The waiters served us complimentary tomato based mousse and bread while waiting for our starters and main courses. I personally like the king crab salad a lot which I ordered for starter a lot (though the portion is pretty small but what do you expect from fining dining). As for the king salmon main course which I ordered, it took me by surprise as well because I'm not a fan of raw food but the salmon was not raw at all! The platter of passion fruit, banana and chocolate that I had was fabulous as well!

Can't comment much on what my boyfriend ordered because I didn't try all of them except mont blanc. If you're fan of chestnut, you'll definitely love mont blanc!

Worth experiencing dining at ocean restaurant once in a lifetime (but it's costly)!

Waraku Smile Dec 22, 2011

Ebi cheese curry udon

Ebi cheese curry udon

My friend and I were walking around central to find a place for dinner and so we decided to settle down at Waraku japanese casual dining as the menu looks really interesting.

It's the first time both my friend and I tried waraku thus I've decided to order something that I usually don't order in a japanese restaurant, ebi cheese curry udon. My food was served in less than ten minutes despite the crowd and I was apalled by the gigantic bowl which was bigger than my face! The cheese was sprinkled above the thick curry soup base which you can mix it on your own. Ebi (prawn) are really fresh and crunchy. Udon was well mixed with the curry soup base. Overall, the portion was just alright for a dinner.

Ambience and service were up to standard for a busy saturday night!
