Best eggs benedict in town Smile Jan 25, 2014

Tucked away in a corner of the intersection between Bukit Timah Road and Princess of Wales Road sits a quaint café, Choupinette (that's 'sweetiepie' in French).

While it's a bit expensive, a large majority of the dishes they serve are fantastic. The all day breakfast or eggs Benedict or eggs florentine are divine. Get the set... It's more worth it as it comes along with fruit juice and coffee! To be honest, I personally feel this is the best eggs benedict in singapore! The hollandaise sauce complements perfectly with the large portion of well cooked bacon and perfect flowy poached eggs!

This is the place I'll recommend to you visit, MUST.

Eggs Benedict

Eggs Benedict

Arbite is quite a charming little place right smack in the middle of Serangoon Gardens Circus. You climb upstairs and if you're lucky, a nice window seat will let you have a good view of the circus outside.

What attracted me there was that they serve all day breakfast!

The Eggs Benedict which I had was done with prosciutto instead of regular ham, and together with the eggs and hollandaise sauce, but I felt it was rather run of the mill. However my friend commented that the salad that she had was done with fresh vegetable and really sweet tomatoes.

BabyCray Fish Salad

BabyCray Fish Salad

Ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you the One and Only Salad In One Place... The BabyCray Fish Salad! Just in case you are wondering what is so good about this salad and why does it deserve a spot in your stomach, I am going to tell you about this majestic plate of wonder. First, this dish does not contain ordinary ingredient, first it has BABYCRAY FISH, a cousin of lobster, mild sweet and juicy. Secondly, the white yellowish cream is a sort of refined smooth texture salad dressing which enhances the taste of the babycray fish. There's also another light brown translucent dressing underneath the thick veggie which cuts the sweet taste of the salad dressing which gives a slight sour taste to it. The two dressing complements each other with the thick crunchy veggie and the babycray fish makes your stomach go wild around the world. If you are reading this and have not tried this dish, I strongly encourage you to just try this dish. Not a moment later, your stomach will thank you for giving its best meal of all times.

Half a chicken

Half a chicken

I was hungry and was craving for roasted chicken, went around the area and only Hot Tomato Cafe caught my eyes. To friends and family who love chicken, trust me. This roasted chicken definitely worths each penny in your pocket. When I ordered this plate, I did not expect anything like classy restaurant around town. But this plate totally put a smile on my face. The chicken was blanked with pepper and slow roasted in the oven. The smell was aromatic with the brown smoky sauce to go with. There was also a small portion of veggie to fill up your stomach, definitely worth each penny.

Saveur is relatively famous for inexpensive french food in singapore.

Celebrated a friend's birthday at saveur at far east plaza sometime back!

As usual, I ordered what I always do, saveur pasta (4.90) and sauteed potatoes ($2)! The portion is just nice for my tummy and I really love how the potatoes are so fragrant, crunchy and soft at the same time. My friends ordered duck confit and pork belly as well and I really have to say, I was damn impressed with the duck confit! The meat was so tender and I ended up regretting not trying that.

As for the hazelnut mousse we ordered at the end, it is rich of chocolate and hazelnut taste. Chocolate lovers will definitely love it!
