Two chefs was introduced by a friend and we went with a bunch of friends. I truly enjoyed my food there. We ordered a spinach egg, herbal chicken, condensed milk powder pork, prawn paste chicken, salted egg prawn and cockles. I love every bit of the dish especially in particular the prawn paste chicken and cockles. The prawn paste chicken was cook just right with the outer crispy skin and was really tasty. It was so good that we actually ordered an extra portion of this. It was my first time trying cockles that was cold with lots of condiments. I will definitely go back there again as the food are awesome. It is really affordable as well if you share it among a group. If you haven't try this, you are definitely missing out!

It was my first time trying cupcakes from this new cupcake place. Well, they have pretty nice flavours available like Kaya and Caramel. I was able to try the peanut and red velvet flavours. Heard their peanut flavour is their signature but I am a big fan of red velvet and I have to say they make pretty nice cupcakes. Their cupcakes are moist and delicious. Generous amount of cream cheese in the Red velvet and the peanut is really a must try. I would want to try on their other flavours as well.

Nyoya Laksa @ Katong Smile Jun 13, 2013

I happened to pass by this stall at Katong and needless to say, when you are there, its Laksa time. Katong has a number of Laksa stalls but I happened to pass by Glory Catering after alighting from the bus and was attracted by the many Nonya Kueh that they sell. I was also drawn by the fragrant of the food from this stall. They have a number of Peranakan dishes which I would love to try. I love Nyoya dishes cause of its variety. Decided to order the Laksa since I’m in Katong and glad that I ordered it. Well, it came with generous amount of Prawns and lemon grass sprinkled at the top. The Laksa soup was really flavourful as well. Rich in flavour with the Nyoya taste. I finished every bit of it. Until now I’m still missing it.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Nakajima. I ordered the Saba set that comes with Japanese rice, miso soup with radish, grilled Saba fish, Salad and a hot green tea. I really enjoyed the lunch cause it only cost $8.50 and the Saba fish was delicious and crispy. I finished every bit of it, except the bones of course. Was glad that it came with a hot green tea too. I thought that it was really worth it was really affordable and comparable to food court pricing. Whats more, they also served other dishes such as Oden, salmon set and other sets. Do check it out if you are around Takashimaya.

Teochew Porridge Smile May 07, 2013

Was looking for a place to have teochew porridge and I chanced upon this stall located at Bukit Merah. Since it has good reviews, I decided to go down for a try. I ordered some dishes such as fish cake, salted eggs, minced pork and tao pok (Beancurd) and egg. This stall is located in a coffeeshop however you will notice that almost everyone will be having porridge from this stall at the coffeeshop. I assumed it is famous in this area. There are loads of variety to actually choose from, from squids to fish and other stuffs. It was a healthy meal and it wasn't expensive as well.
