I like it that Fu Xiang is always thinking of ways to update their menu with more and more innovative food. Now they came out with Assam Fried Fish. Normally food stalls always pair assam gravy with either sting ray or batang fish. They were very generous with their fried fish. the fish they used were very fresh and the meat was very sweet. i topped up additional 70 cents for an omelette. Do request for curry gravy to go with your rice, their curry gravy is superb!

i was on a diet so i decided to order two light food from Gurney Drive restaurant. I ordered their rojak and tauhu goreng. both the portions were fairly small, served on a tiny plate. i felt it was just right for a person. starting with the rojak, there were quite little amount of you tiao. the you tiao was very crunchy. the sauce was not spicy, very sweet and nutty. the tauhu goreng was very refreshing with plenty of bean sprout and cucumbers. it was a nice dish.

Spending per head: Approximately $10(Dinner)

I was not feeling very hungry so i went to order the Black Pepper Chicken Chop from Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. Even though the portion of the meat looks quite small, but the entire platter was just filling for me. Probably cos there were fries, baked bean and a sunny side up. the chicken was very tender and juicy. it went absolutely well with the sauce they topped the meat. as a whole i was very satisfied.

This branch of Astons is really crowded especially on weekends. I had to queue for a pretty long time before I got seated. But one thing good about this outlet is that they do not charge GST. I decided to try their Spicy Chicken Spaghetti. It comes with a bowl of the soup of the day. They were pretty generous with the sauce they top the spaghetti with. There were a lot of chicken too. the chicken was tender and tasty. It was a pretty good dish.

It has been a while since i went to Thai Express to eat. I wanted to renew my expired member card but they no longer have any membership program as informed by the guy who took our order. i was also surprised they no longer served iced water but ask people to buy their $1.90 per bottle mineral water. So many changes...

I ordered one phat thai and one seafood otah. the seafood otah was really good, not spicy as all. there were large pieces of seafood in it. the phat thai was fry till very delicious. as a whole i was pretty satisfied with the food. the otah especially was really good, like the ones i eat in Thailand.
