I am not very adventurous when it comes to ordering bubble tea cos every time i tried to be adventurous, i will end up ordering the wrong drink and most of the time drink less than half a cup and throw away. this time round i dunno what got into me, i ordered a new promotion drink from gong cha called grape yogurt. it was at a promotional price of $2 per cup but i added white pearls. i was lucky i decided to be adventurous this time cos it paid off. this drink was absolutely delicious. i like the grapey taste, not too overpowering, could taste this mildly sour yogurt. it was very refreshing in fact. i recommend this drink. do try it before the $2 promotion ends!

New addition Smile Apr 07, 2013

Introducing the newest addition to Mcdonald's Breakfast menu, strawberry hot cakes. in fact there is nothing new about the hot cakes or the strawberry sauce. the hot cakes is on the usual breakfast menu and you can find the strawberry sauce on the sundae ice cream. but this new combination is really good. they packed the strawberry sauce in a tiny container. it was just nice, not too much. i think the sweet strawberry sauce went really well with the soft and fluffy hotcakes. the butter melted and mixed well with the strawberry sauce. it was a good combination. pretty innovative to mix these two together.

Spending per head: Approximately $5(Breakfast)

chicken and sausage pasta Smile Apr 07, 2013

I must say it has been a long time since i ate spaghetti this good and it is from hot tomato from causeway point. firstly, the tomato sauce they tossed the spaghetti in was really good. the acidity was well balanced, the sweetness level was just right too. the portion of the sauce was just right, not too much or else it would be kind of "too much". the grilled chicken was good, very juicy. but the best ingredient in the dish was the SAUSAGE! despite being cut into slices, it was in fact very delicious. it is not overly soft, had this chewy texture. not like those we get from supermarkets. i recommend this dish. chicken and sausage pasta.

fruity fruit tea Smile Apr 07, 2013

i seldomly order those citrus drink, but i think my dinner was kind of too oily so i decided to order something non milk tea series from sharetea. i ordered their fruity fruit tea. normally i will order 25% for my sugar level for my milk tea series drinks, so i thought i should up the sweetness level to 50% in case the drink was very sour. when i poked my straw into the cup and took a gulp. there was a burst of sourness in my mouth and it went down all the way down my throat. 50% was sweet enough. it was so sour. i think cos of the passion fruit. see the amount of seeds floating in the drink, you can expect how much was added into a cup. however after a while, my mouth got used to the sourness, it did not taste very sour anymore, in fact it tasted refreshing instead. but i guess next time i will opted for 75% sweetness.

mind blowing spiciness Smile Apr 07, 2013

This time round when i went to Paradise Dynasty 2, i decided to try something new, i ordered their sze chuan style poached sliced fish on top of the pot stickers (guo tie/dumpling) i ordered. The portion of this sze chuan style poached sliced fish is really huge, they served it in those noodles size bowl. there were A LOT of slices of fish and vegetables. inside there are two kinds of vegetables, the bean sprout and the cabbage. I must warn all those who are not really chilli eaters that this dish is SPICY. i dunno is it that i accidentally ate the mala chilli pepper seed, my whole mouth went numb from spiciness and the nose started running. the stomach did churn a bit after a while. the kind manager saw my red face and told me that i can order less spicy next time. i think this is a good dish to go with rice, a lot of fish and vegetable. the gravy was thick and went well with rice. just too spicy for me. oh ya the fish was really fresh, very smooth and sweet, soft texture. such a large portion only $18.80. i reckon it was feed a large family!
