Warm and delicious dinner Smile Mar 21, 2013

Despite feeling under the weather, i decided to go ahead with my plans to meet my friends for dinner at Canton Paradise. As i was not in the mood to eat a lot. I settled for their Century Egg Lean Pork Porridge, it was a fairly large bowl and it only cost $6 plus. The porridge was so smooth, all you need is to swallow it. The warm porridge did make me feel a lot better.

I could not resist the salted egg yolk bun. It came in a long of three. The bun is so light and fluffy. The salted egg filling was so smooth, it was so rich and creamy. Simply ooze out when you take a bite. I could not resist and snapped a picture of the delicious bun!

i went to the coffee bean and tea leaf to chill with my friends. i decided to order their regular size english breakfast tea latte. i must say this has just moved up my list of favourite drinks from coffee bean. the english breakfast flavour was just so strong and fragrant, yet it was not too overpowering. i love the frothy part on top. the drink was so smooth and not too sweet. it was worth every bit i paid!

Spending per head: Approximately $7(Tea)

Cheap tuna bun Smile Mar 13, 2013

Guess how much i paid for this tuna bun? I only paid 90 cents! it was so cheap, the bun is the normal size, not because of the price, they cut down the size of the bun and no the filling is not miserable. in fact the amount of filling is much more than other bakeries i have eaten from. the tuna was not too mayo-ish. it was pretty light. the tuna smell did not linger for too long too. the bun was light and fluffy. it was just a joy to eat.

Initially i wanted to order my usual beverages from Starbucks but looking at the effort that the team of barristers put in to try to get me to order their new drink, i gave into them. so here i got myself their Asian Dolce Latte. I opted for lesser whipped cream. The latte tasted very smooth, it was very fragrant. the flavour tasted a little caramel. it lingers in your mouth for some time. A delicious hot beverage to kick start the day!

hearty set Smile Mar 13, 2013

My first visit to Osaka Ohsho, I was very keen to try out the much rave gyoza that they sold there. I flipped through their menu at settled for their 3 in 1 set meal. it had a portion of sweet and sour pork, mapo toufu and three pieces of the gyoza. Look how huge the portion was! it was the best of three world!

The gyoza was pretty good, i would compare it to ajisen. it was pan fried so it was not too oily. the meat they used were very fresh. the gyoza was pretty juicy. the dip is not exactly vinegar but it tasted pretty sourish. they even sold the gyoza dip.

The soup was pretty thirsty. It was not too salty, and sort of helped to cleanse your stomach after a filling meal.

The sweet and sour pork was my favourite. i love the sauce they cooked the pork with. it was sweetish. the pork was deep fried till very crispy. it was indeed a pleasure to eat it.

The mapo toufu is really good, the gravy is so tasty. goes absolutely well with the white rice. the toufu is very smooth. the gravy was not too salty too.

I was very satisfied!
