Kimchi Chigae

Kimchi Chigae

This is one of the nicest Kimchi Chigae i have ever tasted. It was probably because the owners of the stall are korean. The "ahjuma" taking order at the counter cannot really speak good English but when i said kimchi chigae she understood me. They were very generous with the amount of kimchi in the soup. the soup was pretty sour cos of the kimchi. inside got a couple of ingredients like toufu etc. it came with their korean sticky rice and two mini side dishes, the kimchi and anchovies. the kimchi here was on the sweetish side, not sour at all.

Baked Rice with Chicken and Slipper Lobster

Baked Rice with Chicken and Slipper Lobster

I wanted to treat myself to something good so I headed to Jack's Place for dinner. I did not feel like eating too much meat so i gave their steaks a skip. I ordered their Baked Rice with Chicken and Slipper Lobster. I love the cheesiness of their baked rice. They were so generous with their cheese toppings. there was a portion of salad at the side, it was very crisp and fresh. I love the slipper lobster, it was very fresh and the meat was sweet and succulent. i think it is one of the best dishes around.

Jasmine Green Milk Tea

Jasmine Green Milk Tea

You simply cannot miss this new and vibrant bubble tea stall. the stall is decorated with orange colour decorations. One thing i like about this stall is that they have students discount of 10%. I ordered their Jasmine Green Milk Tea in large cup. The jasmine green milk tea is very fragrant. you can taste the strong fragrance of the tea leaves. the milk is not too creamy, i presumed they added with moderation. it was indeed thirst quenching and pretty cheap too.

frozen yogurt Smile Mar 03, 2013

I ordered a small cup of frozen yogurt from yoguru. I chose the mochi and blueberry as my toppings. i think the combination of this two toppings is simply awesome. the blueberry is a little one the sour side, so it adds as a contrast over the sweetness of the original flavour yogurt. the mochi is very chewy, a contrast in texture as compared to the soft frozen yogurt. it is bliss in the mouth.

Spending per head: Approximately $4(Tea)

SOD's bubble tea are pretty good and they have a large variety of beverages in different versions like the SOD version and the normal version. I ordered their Hazelnut Milk Tea. i found it to be really good. the hazelnut flavour made the drink taste a lot nicer. the tea fragrance was not overwhelmed by the nutty taste of the hazelnut. i ordered their large size, such a nice drink only a large size can satisfy me.

Spending per head: Approximately $3(Tea)
