I met a friend for breakfast at starbucks, we ordered the mushroom pastry each. i must say this is one of the best mushroom pastry i have every eaten. the pastry has a light tinge of buttery fragrance. it was really crispy. when you cut into it, it completely flakes and crumbles. the mushroom filling is seasoned perfectly. the mushroom tasted well sauteed. the portion is pretty large, makes a very hearty breakfast.

Spending per head: Approximately $11(Breakfast)

Chicken Risotto Smile Jun 15, 2013

I met up a friend for lunch and she suggested to go to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. After looking at their menu, i settled for their Chicken Risotto. They did not have much choices of the mains, but the Chicken Risotto was good enough for me. It took a while for them to prepare me food, when it came, it was served on a pie casing. There was a generous portion of cheese melted on top. it was very fragrant. the chicken and rice was very tasty. i thought it was really good. the salad that was served at the side was very refreshing. i enjoyed it.

kimchi pancake Smile Jun 15, 2013

I was really craving for korean food so i went to dong dae mun to get myself a kimchi pancake. their pancake is pretty good, too bad they do not serve it with its authentic dipping sauce but instead serve it with mayo and chilli sauce. the pancake tasted delicious on its own without sauce. it was very chewy but does not stick to your teeth. there were eight pieces in all. i found it quite filling.

I am so glad McDonald's offers something as healthy as this Grilled Chicken Salad. The grilled chicken is very tender and juicy. the skin is a little oily though, but it can be easily removed. they were very generous with their vegetables and the dish was arranged until very presentable and appetizing. do not under-estimate the portion, it was very filling and i ate it as my dinner.

top up for tea Smile Jun 15, 2013

I headed to KFC for lunch and as the weather was a little cold and i was having slight flu, i decided to order a cup of hot tea. I had ordered the student meal which comes with a soft drink. i was kind of shocked when the counter staff told me i have to top up money to change to tea. normally at most fast food joints, hot tea dun need to top up money. so i was pretty puzzled why KFC needed to.

I ordered the original chicken, it was much less oily as compared to the crispy one. the meat was a little dry though. but at least it does not ooze out oil. as a whole it was just so so.
