NZ T-bone steak Smile Jun 22, 2013

I was craving for some juicy slab of beef so I headed to Jack's Place for their NZ T-bone steak. It was worth every bit of the $25.50. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked absolutely the way i wanted. the meat practically melts in your mouth. even when you cut it, it was so juicy. i liked the potato that comes with it, it was warm and soft. the staff will specially come and top it with bacon bits and sour cream.

Yoguru opens at JEM Smile Jun 22, 2013

Yay!!! Yoguru opens at JEM, so glad they are opening more and more outlets everywhere. Yoguru is one of my favourite yogurt stall. The plain yogurt is one of the best ones i have tasted, not too icy and very smooth and creamy. on hot and hazy weather, i think this is the most ideal snack! despite the outlet not being very big, but they still provided some comfortable seats for their customers. the variety of toppings they have is a lot as well.

peach green tea Smile Jun 21, 2013

This hazy weather is a little irritating to the throat so i headed to gong cha to get myself a cold drink to beat the heat. i ordered their peach green tea. i like this drink, it was absolutely thirst quenching. the green tea was very light and fragrant, mixed with the fruity peach flavour. i ordered 50% and it was just nice, sweet enough to cover the bitterness of the green tea and not too sweet until it leaves you thirsty.

I was not feeling very hungry so i decided to order something light. when i spotted subway, i knew that fitted what i wanna eat. i spotted this promotion sign at the entrance. just nice my 6 inch tuna sub got promo. the price of one ala carte 6 inch is $5, but now you pay $5 and get a free drink along with the sub.

their tuna mayo was really good, very smooth. i like to add pickles, cucumber and lettuce into my sub. their honey mustard is really good. sweet onion goes well with the bread too.

Beef bowl with kimchi Smile Jun 21, 2013

Categories : Japanese

I was exploring Jem and spotted Yoshinoya. It was not too crowded so I decided to head in for late lunch. I ordered their student meal which is a rice bowl, side of the day and a drink. I opted for the beef bowl, the side of the day happened to be crinkled fries and for the drink, there was an option of free upgrade to Sjora which i opted for. I added 80 cents to top my beef bowl with kimchi, i think it gave the bowl a spicier and sour flavour. the beef bowl was really good, the beef was on the saltier side, but goes well with the tasteless rice and vegetables.

the side of the day- crinkled fries, was a disappointment. it was cold, unflavoured, soft and soggy. i ate one and set it aside, not nice at all. I was pretty happy with the free upgrade, Sjora drink is just good!

Spending per head: Approximately $6(Lunch)
