to be honest, I am not impress by the selection of food. The buffet is too international, lack of local taste. To be fair, yes there's some local delight like laksa, prawn noodle. However, the taste is too far fetched - once you have a sip of the laksa you won't like to have another sip.
The buffet is very pricey, much more expensive than todai. The spread not as much as todai’s as well. but the raw seafood is indeed fresh and delicious. Ambience is good and I recommende this place.

this restaurant serves dishes like it’s a coffeeshop eatery serving home-style dishes cooked to your order (zi char). So a plate of rice each was served to us (I love their rice, ones where you can easily separate each grain of rice, relatively dry), and of which you can asked to be topped up as and when you like throughout the meal. a good place to gather and chat though. cost about $10 per set for lunch. pretty reasonable/ affordable.

The service was really great and thoughtful. The service captains were really patient in making recommendations based on our food preference (vegetarian and no beef).

We also had wine with food. I guess like many fine-dinign places, we were given the chance to try our choice of wine before ordering it. A very common win would be a hit with the ladies I suppose: Sauvignon Blanc White Wine. A fruity yet hint of alcohol compliements all dishes.
Strongly recommmended for people who would want to experiece Italian flavours and fine-dining combined together!

chic karagechawanmushi

The chawanmushi was smooth and soft such that you can sipped and swallow it. The lime was a special ingredient in it which I had not seen it else where, however there was not really any taste of lime in it. There was mushroom, chicken and gingko in it.

The shashimi was fresh and soft. It tastes good with the wasabi and soya sauce.

i decided to try their drumlet. It’s $4.50 for 5. Price is considered reasonable. the chicken is well marinated and it’s very crispy ( they fry it when you order, unlike some shops where they just reheat when customer order). However, i don’t really like their chilli sauce. I can’t describe it but i think the drumlet tasted bette without the sauce. service crew is polite and thus highly recommended.
