It's pretty hard to catch their opening time, there's twice where we wanted to come here for yumcha but it's closing....

Anyway the food & service are both good (at the standard we expect for the price paid for). No dishes are particularly better than other places, but generally everything's satisfactory.

I like the bright & clean environment with high ceiling. We like to sit by the window when we went in big enough group to occupy a private corner so we can LOL without disturbing others ;)

Caribbean~ Smile Nov 09, 2010

I second Huiyuan that the Scallop is their must try! It's pricey & not filling but if you ever visit Prive, u have to try it at least once~

I usually go at dinner time, be it with good friends, customers or loved ones, the environment is a winner. Strangely, watching the yachts & Caribbean @ Keppel Bay as u dine & wine is more appetizing than Singapore River or Marina Bay. If u are free in day time and not afraid of the heat (as it's alfresco dining), do go before the sunset.

We've tried quite a few dishes here & everything is pretty good. The only complain is... the food size is too small for all dishes, never feel full walking out of Prive~

The best is in the kung fu tea~ Smile Nov 08, 2010

Categories : Bak Kut Teh

As a late wake-r, it's almost impossible for me to have a taste of the most famous Bak Ku Teh in SG... For some unknown (probably silly) reason, we decided to hit the HSBC Tree Top Walk in a holiday very early morning & thus managed to have breakfast here at 5am!

Frankly the Bak Ku Teh was not the kind I like, too peppery, I prefer herbal ones (like those in Malaysia). But the good thing is they offer a good variety of side dishes. The trip only become worth while when the kung fu tea was served... as Cookiemonster mentioned, "the after taste is so addictive"!! It's really "gan" and after drinking the tea, I actually wanna have another bowl of ba ku teh so that I can feel that tea's after taste again! Cos the after taste won't be so strong if you just drink the tea without first eating the bak ku teh, they are perfect match~

Service was so so, the staffs were quick but look fierce haha

I feel it's slightly more expensive, like paying for "branded" stuff...

A cool place for meat lovers~ Smile Nov 08, 2010

Went here for a farewell lunch for colleague, well some of my colleagues are meat lovers~

It's nice to have the chef shaving off the just-grilled meat on our plates, but it's kinda scary too when his knife come close ;p

Some meat are nice but not all, but definitely fill your stomach fully~ They do provide a lot of veggie too if u want a balanced meal. It's not very crowded or noisy too~

My dear colleagues brought me here for a BD lunch smile

Once we enter, I understand why it's called "Market" cos they have a very Jap-style Seafood Market at the side~ which makes it diff from other seafood restaurant, it's pretty ;) We always love a la cart buffet style, sav the hassle of walking around~ Food was pretty good, but not all dishes were good. I like the fried sotong legs very much, it looks scary and ugly but it's sweet & crunchy~

Saw some businessmen at other tables, seems like a good place for business talk~
I like the Market area! Very Jap~
