I was treated to my dream buffet venue on our monthly anniversary by my bf - the Straits Cafe. In the past, I had always envy those who were dining inside this nice-looking restaurant with equally yummy-looking food. Now, I have the chance to be one of the lucky fellas

The choices were not that many. In fact, I had seen what was being offered in the restaurant in less than 5 minutes. However, the seafood was really fresh and I took a whole plate of my favourite salmon and the big, juicy prawns. The award-winning nonya laksa was worth trying and I managed to try a little of everything in the buffet spread. My favourite would be dessert - durian puree. I took like more than 5 and it was really popular.

Though it almost burnt a hole in my bf's hole, it was definitely one of the best buffets in town!

I love Subway's on-the-go sandwich deals as they are very healthy and the cookies are extremely yummy. For bread choice, parmesan is my favourite and cut cut trio would be the perfect match. Toasted with cheese, it would be accompanied by honey mustard and sweet onion sauces.

I love to include all veggies (except for green chillies) because that's what make the sandwich extremely healthy. With my absolute favourite white chips macademia cookie and a drink of my choice, this is one set meal that will keep me on the go.

I'm a chocolate lover and would definitely not resist if I'm offered a box of chocolates, especially WHITE chocolate to finish all by myself. It is even more tempting if it's ROYCE as it's one of the branded chocolates in the market.

It was sweet but not too overwhelming. I love how the chocolate melts slowly in my mouth (like all chocolate do) and it was definitely not as sweet as normal chocolate. I also didn't get sick of eating it and finished up the whole box at one go.

I have always been curious to try the pancake because there would always be a long queue at this stall and almost everyone would be buying lots of durian pancake. Thus, I joined in the queue one day when it was reasonably short.

I had to wait rather long despite the fact that there was only one auntie in front of me who was like ordering 2 dozens! I couldn't wait to try my hands on this much sought after pancake and I wasn't disappointed. The pancake was still crispy and shio shio (hot) while the durian filling is cold. Guess it's this combination that makes it so yummy (plus the durian filling is delicious too!)

This is one of my favourite zi char restaurants. The prices are the same as those in the food centres but the environment and service are definitely better. We had been eating there ever since it was at the old building with the bowling alley at Downtown East.

I'll usually dine there with my family whenever my mum is not cooking dinner. Our favourite dishes include hotplate seafood, crabmeat with broccoli, sweet and sour fish and occasionally a bowl of fish maw soup would accompany our meal.

It's s great place to dine in for families with its pocket-friendly prices. Plus, the whole family can walk around Downtown East after the meal
