The trio master sounded interesting so I decided to have it for dinner after work. It consisted of 3 different meat with melted cheese spread over. I just felt that the serving didn't match the price; it was only a few pieces of meat and sausage served on a hot plate. And I believed it was because of the heat that resulted in the meat becoming dry.

During a gathering, we decided to go to Kungfu Paradise. It was something similar to those Hong Kong cafes. I ordered this Tropical Smoothie as I was yearning for something that gave a Hawaiian feel.

The serving of the drink disappointed me. As one could see, it was not even filled to the brim. The concentration was there but there were also too much ice. Within a few slurps, the drink was finished and I was left feeling rather cheated.

By the time I finished work at 10pm, there were not many places still open for me to grab something to eat. Luckily, with the opening of Bedok Point, there are now more eating outlets available at Bedok. And there is Kungfu Paradise, whose late closing hours are a plus point to those who want to have something to eat during wee hours.

As I was rather hungry, I decided to go for the Creamoso which was something like carbonara. This was recommended by the staff as I could not decide what to order initially.
The spaghetti tasted rather average with more pasta than anything else. Well, as long as my stomach was filled up, I couldn't complain more.

I decided to bring my dad to dine here for his birthday celebration as he had actually wished to try out the famous chicken here.

As I thought that ordering half of a whole chicken would be sufficient for 4 mouths, I didn't think too much of the serving and also ordered claypot beancurd and deep fried prawn rolls. The chicken served seemed just enough for two people and aall of us just ate a few pieces of the famous chicken which actually tasted like normal chicken to me; I couldn't find anything special just that the serving was rather stingy for the amount paid. We were so unhappy that we were not full despite after having such a costly dinner that we went to have durians.

All that glitters is not gold Cry Jul 05, 2011

I was first interested in the steamboat pots which Xian De Lai was using as they looked rather exquisite and antique. That sort of enticed me to have my dinner there, even though it was rather pricey.

The concept was also rather interesting - one actually ticks on a list of food items on what to be ordered and hand it to the staff. There were also a range of appetizers to choose from. However, I was disappointed by the whole dining experience. First, I was allocated to a table which was hidden at a corner and blocking everyone who wanted to cross the passageway. Next, when I noticed that the screw in the cover was rusty, I informed the staff who pretended not to hear me! That was serious rude service and I'll definitely not recommend anyone to dine there.
