Standards dropping for the puffs Cry Mar 09, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery | Halal

Polar stall always offered a discounted price when they about close for the day. They are offering 2 puffs at $3 or 3 puffs for $4. I found that the qualities for Polar puffs are dropped. The filling is not that many as last time, especially the Curry Puff. It’s been my favorite last time but now I won’t buy their Curry Puff anymore. You only can taste the curry chicken when u finished half of the puff. sad

Besides the Curry Puff as their signature dish, they are selling other products too like Tuna Puff, Mackerel Puff, Chicken Pie, Black Pepper Chicken Pie and many more. They sell cakes too, like Sweet Vanilla cake, Creamy Cheese cake, Pandan cake and character cakes. The cakes look nice in the glass display cabinet. The staffs working there are friendly.

La~ Kopi time! OK Mar 08, 2011
Categories : Multi-Cuisine

It’s located at Icon village ground floor just opposite of Amara Hotel. This place is always full. They even put tables and chair outside the shop. You might need to stand a while to wait for seats. Not outside food is allowed inside the shop, I saw the notes stick on some tables tongue

The price is common and affordable. Hot teh, kopi and milo are selling at $1 while Ice Lemon tea, Ice milk tea and Ice Kopi are selling at $1.50. They are selling Nasi lemak and otah – otah too. You can find the traditional kaya toast here as well, selling at $1.20. The drinks are standard, just like the standard in all coffee shops. The Traditional Butter Kaya toast is nice, like the butter the most. It’s melts in the hot toasted bread!

Tori Q - Yakitori !  Smile Mar 07, 2011
Categories : Japanese

Tori Q at Bugis Junction is easy to find. It’s located at the basement 1, just next to the ATM machines. You can smell the yummy yakitori when you pass by there. They have chicken, pork, chicken skin, pork with Aparagus, chicken balls, unagi and many more. The price are vary between $1 - $2. I like the chicken balls the most. The chicken balls are made of the minced chicken that shaped into a small ball shape. It’s juicy and tender inside. I love the “Tare” sauce. When they dip the skews into the sauce, my heart is screaming, “give me more more sauce!”.

They are selling Yokitori bento also, it’s basically contains 4 different yakitori, Japanese rice with seaweed, pickles and Tare sauce! It’s so delicious! I will never feel bored of it.

Craving for Taiwanese snack?  Cry Mar 07, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese

After I’ve ordered Crispy Floss Egg Crepe and Handmade Oyster Mee Sua, I queued up to collect it. I saw a guy with greasy hair was frying the chicken. His hair is almost covering half of his face. Although he is wearing the cap, his hair is too long and already covered the cap. It’s very disgusting. I feel lucky I didn’t order the XXL Crispy Chicken. mad

The Crispy Floss Egg Crepe is not up to the standard. Not enough egg, not enough floss and not enough seafood sauce on the crepe. It’s tasted so blander than the normal one that I ate at other outlet. The Handmade Oyster Mee Sua was okay. I think they might need some time to grow as they are still new there in Clementi.

It’s a sushi day again~ OK Mar 07, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi | Kids-Friendly

It’s a Sakae Sushi day again. When I stepped into the restaurant, I can hear many people talking. Maybe the restaurant is too small? So if everybody is talking slowly, its will still turn out become noisy? sad

We’ve ordered Sakae Chawanmushi. The egg is so smooth and taste so good. I think they added miso soup into the egg to make it a bit salty and fragrance. The salmon karaage is a little bit dry, and they do not provide any sauce to dip. It’s good for sharing, the portion is quite big. The soft shell crab rolls is nice with the sesame on the top. Overall the sushi is fine. They have quite a lot of sushi on the belt.
