Snack time!  Smile Mar 10, 2011

If you could not decide what to eat yet, the good choice is get some snack from Old Chang Kee first. The quality of the snacks in Old Chang Kee is quite standard. You can find the same snack, same flavour and same size in every Old Chang Kee stalls. Even the stalls’ design for Old Chang Kee are almost identical.

My all time favourite stick is the Sotong on stick that selling at $1.60. It’s crispy outside but chewy inside. I like their Curry Puff also but recently I am more into their Sardine Puffs. The filling is a bit spicy and tasty.

Mixed Fruits Juice!  Smile Mar 10, 2011
Categories : Juices

I started buying juice from this stall because of the watermelon juice that they offered at $1 each cup. I’ve tried it, taste not bad and I go back visit them over and over again. Haha. They let you to mix whatever fruits they have, mixing 2 fruits = $2 - $2.50. They will give you a card and cop after you bought 1 drink from them. If you collected an amount of cop, you can show it to them to get $1 off and a free drink.

You can hear they scream “mix 2 fruits for $2” from far. The aunties there are friendly. If you do not know what to mix, you can refer to the menu that they provided. I particular like the mango mixed with strawberry. Colorful and taste nice. lol

Standards dropping for the puffs Cry Mar 09, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Bakery | Halal

Polar stall always offered a discounted price when they about close for the day. They are offering 2 puffs at $3 or 3 puffs for $4. I found that the qualities for Polar puffs are dropped. The filling is not that many as last time, especially the Curry Puff. It’s been my favorite last time but now I won’t buy their Curry Puff anymore. You only can taste the curry chicken when u finished half of the puff. sad

Besides the Curry Puff as their signature dish, they are selling other products too like Tuna Puff, Mackerel Puff, Chicken Pie, Black Pepper Chicken Pie and many more. They sell cakes too, like Sweet Vanilla cake, Creamy Cheese cake, Pandan cake and character cakes. The cakes look nice in the glass display cabinet. The staffs working there are friendly.

Yummy Dim Sum!  Smile Mar 08, 2011
Categories : Cantonese/Hong Kong | Dim Sum

I’ve bad experience with Ho Kee Pau in other outlet so I felt reluctant to buy anything from Ho Kee Pau anymore. But my fiend bought me the Siew Mai and Beancurb Skin Roll from the Ho Kee Pau from the Clementi Mall. Taste delicious! The Siew Mai is big and stuffed with prawn, minced meat and a bit of vegetables. And the Beancurb Skin Roll smells good and it’s made of minced pork and veggie. You can dip it with the chili sauce or mayonnaise that provided. My favorite is the fried Prawn Dumpling that cost $1 each. It’s too big for your mouth! I love the prawn mixed with minced meat inside. So juicy and yummy. They are selling pao, Chai Fan, Mai Kai and others. I will definitely go back and try other stuffs too. tongue

La~ Kopi time! OK Mar 08, 2011
Categories : Multi-Cuisine

It’s located at Icon village ground floor just opposite of Amara Hotel. This place is always full. They even put tables and chair outside the shop. You might need to stand a while to wait for seats. Not outside food is allowed inside the shop, I saw the notes stick on some tables tongue

The price is common and affordable. Hot teh, kopi and milo are selling at $1 while Ice Lemon tea, Ice milk tea and Ice Kopi are selling at $1.50. They are selling Nasi lemak and otah – otah too. You can find the traditional kaya toast here as well, selling at $1.20. The drinks are standard, just like the standard in all coffee shops. The Traditional Butter Kaya toast is nice, like the butter the most. It’s melts in the hot toasted bread!
