Good place to dine Smile Dec 30, 2010

Salta is highly recommended by my friend so I dropped by to give a try. We’ve ordered the Seafood pasta and the grilled salmon. The seafood pasta is delicious. You can taste the goodness of the seafood in your every bite. The pasta is nicely cooked, not too dry. Love it.

The salmon is nicely placed on the plate. I like crispy grilled salmon skin. I can’t wait any longer to taste it. The skin is crispy and the salmon meat is juicy. It’s cooked to the perfection. But there is too much oil on the plate. The side dishes look like soak in the oil. I have no choice to give up them on my plate. What a waste. sad

We’ve finished bread at the very beginning before our main course come to us. The waiting time is quite long. So, prepare yourself and drink more water first. tongue I love the complimentary fried sweet potatoes but not the extra side dishes. It’s same as the side dishes that I gave up on my plate so I do not have the initiative to touch it at all.

Taiwanese style cafe Smile Dec 30, 2010

My friend and I chose to dine in the Taiwan Xin Wang because marina square and Suntec city are still far from us. mad I like the environment there, large space and bright lighting that gives you more energy.

I’ve ordered the braised pork rice (ru rou fan) which it’s famous in Taiwan. So I expected it to be good. Yes, it’s nice although the presentation is a bit messy and the bowl is too big. I like the braised egg (ru dan), love the aroma.

We’ve ordered the salted fried chicken too. They waitress gave us the pepper and chili powder to it ourselves. We put a lot, we intent to open the bottle’s cap of the pepper and chili powder and pour the powder on our chicken. lol The milk tea is so-so but its way better than Sweettalk bubble milk tea. tongue

Secret recipe now seems having the year long promotion for “Complete the meal with 2 selected sides at $5” on weekdays. I’ve chose the Cheesy baked rice as my main course, soup and brownie of the day. It’s a so-so lunch as what I’ve expected.

The mushroom soup is normal, it’s comes with a small bun. I am surprised the bun is soft and warm. For the baked rice, the rice is a bit dry for me. Too much cheese in the baked rice made me want to puke after I finished half bowl. The serving is quite big and it’s sure can filled you stomach.

The brownie is not bad, chocolate cheese brownie if I am not mistaken. The brownie is still hot and the chocolate chips inside the brownie add few marks to it.

Perfect Meal  Smile Dec 30, 2010

I like to meet up with my girl friends at Pasta de Waraku because the portions of the foods are quite small and we can order more to share. I went there 2 times for last week, is it too frequent? I think so. I am still craving for the foods there. tongue

I love the thin pizza, crispy and it does not make you puke if you eat more. I’ve try the cheesy eggplant pizza and the Scallop pizza. I can’t forget the eggplant, it’s so soft and smooth in your mouth while the pizza crust is so crispy. The combination is perfect with the cheese. If you do not like eggplant, try the scallop pizza. I always save the scallop for the last bite. lol

I’ve tried the bacon and tomato soup pasta, seafood soup pasta as well. You will be amazing by the plate? Or bowl? shocked that comes with the noodles. I love the soup, sweet because of the seafood/bacon, sour because of the tomatoes. It’s super yummy and warms your stomach. It’s a new experience of Italian pasta, creative and delicious.

They are having the promotion now. You will get 1 for 1 Hanito if you pay by DBS credit/debit card. We are 3 little silly girls thought that we can finish chocolate banana Hanito and Mixed fruits Hanito. shocked When the waitress served us our Hanito, we’ve stunned and sit there for another 1 hour just to try finish it. The bread is crispy for the sides, soft in the inner. We closed our eyes and enjoyed the each bites in our mouth, the bread + ice cream + fruits + chocolate syrup. We are in heaven lol

Premium D24 Durian Cake Smile Dec 30, 2010

Wondering what cake you need to buy for loves one? If he/she can take Durian, then go for the Durian cake by Emicakes. It’s quite expensive compare to normal cakes, even more expensive than Secret Recipe. I chose Premium D24 Durian Cake because that’s the only Durian cake available that day. Lucky tongue

The shopkeeper advised us to put it in the freezer. Take it out 2 hours before consume it. She also advised me to finish it in 3 days. Good service and nice smile. The cake is soft, and the durian that in between the cakes are really good because it’s the mixture of real durian and a bit of cream I suppose. The aroma of the durian will stay in your mouth for quite long. Rinse your mouth before you go out lol
