Crazy for Durians!  OK Dec 29, 2010

I am hunger for durians every time I pass by the Durian Mpire counter. I think they choose the correct location to attract people attention. Haha. At least, I am one of the victim. lol

I bought the Durian pudding and durian pudding because they look so tempting inside the glass cupboard. I was thinking the mango pudding can reduce the smell of durian in my mouth after eating the durian pudding so I bought it. tongue

The puddings are not over sweet luckily so I can finish all by myself. But the flavor of mango is not too strong, which it’s gives you a thought of only the coloring that makes the pudding looks tasty. The durian pudding taste better than the mango pudding. It’s a bit softer than the mango pudding. Don’t worry, the Durian aroma is not too strong. You can still shopping after eating it. Besides, you can sit down comfortable eating there, Nice!

Judge it yourself  OK Dec 29, 2010

I’ve read so many good reviews on this restaurant so I went to try it with my friends. I was disappointed by the fried rice there. The portion is quite small and it’s very normal fried rice. It’s lack of “wok hei”. If you know Cantonese, you will get what I meant for.

The waiting time is quite long since too many customers in the restaurant. It’s not a good experience because I sat just opposite of the exit/ entrance of the kitchen. The waiters and working staffs walk in walk out holding different kind of foods and dirty plates. It’s very annoying. Moreover, I found a harden rice stick on the spoon that I am going to use. Yucks, they did not clean the utensils properly? This is not a street stall, a restaurant I suppose? huffy

The only food that I am satisfied with is the Xiao long bao. I’ve tried the original and cheese flavor. Tasty soup and sweet moist meat inside.

Another choice besides Subway  OK Dec 29, 2010

When I think of the Quiznos at Icon Village, “The table is very sticky” will flash through my mind. Yes, the big tables there are sticky. When I put the flyer on the table, its stick on the table as it is a sticker. I’ve asked the waiter to clean the table but they told me” the table’s surface is meant to be like that, so sorry”. shocked Huh ?

I’ve tried the Meatball Sub. The meatball is big and juicy. They cut the whole meatball into 2 then placed on the bread. You will get 3 meatballs (6 pieces) in 6 inch sub with tasty tomatoes sauce.

You can complete it with a meal which it will come with a drink, soup or cookies. The 6-inch sub only cost you $6.95.

Takeaway experience OK Dec 29, 2010

Do you ever da bao, takeaway the whole set meal before from any Toast Box near you? I’ve tried once because I could not find anything to buy for my dinner in the late night. A good try and i might try it again lol

I’ve ordered the set meal that comes with traditional toast, eggs and my favorite ice milk tea. I like the toast. I wish they put more margarine and kaya for me always. tongue The toast is a bit cold when I ate it but it’s still fine for me. I am really appreciate they broke the eggs in the small paper cup and provided me the small packet of pepper and soy sauce. It's cold a bit but i am still enjoyed it. smileThe ice milk tea that I ordered is nice as usual.

Simple breakfast to wake you up  Smile Dec 29, 2010

Categories : Japanese | Kids-Friendly

I went there on early Sunday morning. Not many people inside the restaurant, I got to choose wherever I want to sit.

My friend and I bought the chicken congee set and salmon congee set. I’ve requested extra teriyaki sauce to go along with the congee. The congee is tasteless but very smooth. I should say, I am “drinking” the congee not eating the congee. Feed yourself with the chicken or salmon that comes with the set if you feel it’s too plain. What a simple and nice breakfast. Like it.
