Famous Amos's Muffin Smile Mar 28, 2011
Categories : Bakery

The cookies aroma from Famous Amos is always makes me craving for their cookies. But this time, I decided to try on their other product, muffin. They have banana chocolates muffin, double chocolates muffin (with walnut? I am not sure) and etc. The shape of the muffin looks a bit ugly but I believe it’s should be nice in term of taste. I’ve bought the big double chocolates muffin. The cashier put it into a white paper bag, I love paper bag. The chocolate chips on the top of the muffin are crunchy. It’s a good blend if you eat muffin together with the chocolate chips. I wish they could put more next time.

They sell cookies like Chocolate Chip with Macadamia (my favorite), Chocolate White Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Chip with Macadamia, Chocolate Chip with Pecan, Butterscotch Chip with Pecan and many more.

Sakae Sushi lunch~ OK Mar 25, 2011
Categories : Japanese | Sushi/Sashimi

Found this Sakae Sushi restaurant just next to the Breadtalk at Tiong Bahru. The space for this Sakae Sushi restaurant is not so big and the shape of this restaurant is a bit weird, it’s in L shape. The end is blocked. I walked all the way back to the front and go another side again while my friend just sat at the table that just a table away from where I standing.

Overall the food is nice. I like the Tamago sushi because the Tamago is soft but not soggy. They do not have many variety of sushi on the belt. You might need to order through the systems that installed in the pc on your table or get the waiter to help. The Sakae Chawanmushi is disappointing. The eggs are not smooth, and I can see so many holes in the chawanmushi that caused of the bubbles that appears when they beat the eggs I suppose.

I am sorry to say that, their service is quite good but I hardly get what they trying to say. They are mainly foreigner workers from Philippines or Indonesia. I am not sure.

Cakes~ Smile Mar 24, 2011

Although the cake is a bit oily but the taste is good. I like the cake texture, not too hard and it’s not too dry. The cream in between make the cake taste creamier and sweeter. The chocolate that all over the cake is harden by the temperature of the fridge. A bit hard to cut the cake but the chocolates are so nice to go with the cake.

They sell a large range of cakes with cream or without cream. They sell kueh, egg tart and cookies too. The price is average. I’ve tried the egg tart and Pandan cake before, it’s great. Worth a try if you never buy anything from Bengawan Solo before. smile

Craving for BBQ spicy stingray? You may find a stall that selling the good BBQ stingray at Clementi, the Kopitiam that next to the City Vibe. The Kopitiam there is quite stuffy I could say. They are selling BBQ stingray, cockles, squid, prawn, otah-otah and others. I like the spicy kangkung as well. The smallest pieces of stingray cost you $8. The price is depends on the size and weight of the stingray. The smallest plate size for Kangkung cost $5 only. The chili that they added to the BBQ food is really spicy and it’s getting spicy if you east more and more. Ask for more onions for your stingray, its gives a perfect taste to it.

Mr.Bean - a healthier choice OK Mar 24, 2011
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Desserts and Cakes

I am interested on the Icy Mango that available at Mr.Bean since it’s made of soya milk + mango, sounds so healthy. lol It’s not came in size that I expected. The cup is smaller than the regular cup size that you can find at SweetTalk or KOI. But the serving crew will make your cup full. It’s a ice blended mango if you see from the color vise. When I first slurp the Icy Mango, the taste is so weird. The Mango aroma is not strong and you can taste the soya milk. But after that I am getting used to that taste. The taste is not so bad. I use coupon to buy it, it’s cost me $2(Normal price = $2.20).

They sell soya milk, grass jelly drink, rice balls, ice-cream, tart, pudding, biscuits and others too. The price is average. But the products that they sell is healthier, you will feel less guilty having their foods and drinks as extra! tongue
