The Swensens buffet located at Ion is a great place to indulge and satisfy your craving for ice-cream. At this all-you-can-eat-ice cream & dessert buffet, you can enjoy this for only $18.90 per pax. There is a variety of food, mainly western, and recently they have added an asian menu to it.

Their ambience is very classy and welcoming. The dish that I tried and thought was very different from the other places is the Lamb Chop. Compared to other places, the lamb had very little fat, which makes it even nicer to eat. The lamb chop came together with wedges and mint sauce with a tinge of lemon. The sauce was really good. It cost $14.90. I would say it is rather overpriced, but it was worth it has it was really filling.

My cousin and I decided to have something light at Coffee Bean. So we got the cheesecake and the tiramisu. The slice of the cake was rather big. The tiramisu was quite dry but it was tasty. It woud have been better if it was a lilttle moist on the inside. I did not manage to finish it. The cheesecake on the other hand was really good. There was a tinge of sweetness in the cake. There was a bit of lemon taste also. It was really good.

My dad and I decided to have lunch at Sakura as he loves the tom yam, seabass and grouper.

Our trip to Sakura was not wasted as the food was of satisfactory level and the service was good too. We had sambal kang kong, which was not too spicy and not too bland. One of my favourite dishes in Sakura.

Next, is the sweet and sour chicken. I prefer this to the fish. It's more tastier. Not too sweet or sour. The hotplate beancurd is a must have when at Sakura.

Lastly, our grouper. The soup is also very nice and the fish is very tasty. It's a bit spicy but that is what makes it tasty. However, there are a lot of bones in the soup thus you have to be a little careful when drinking the soup.

Ayam Penyet Ria is one of the places I go to when I feel like eating Ayam Penyet. The service, the food & drinks served there and the ambience & setting give customers a very relaxing feel! An interesting feature to get customers engaged is where they handover a slip of menu and we place the order ourselves by writing down our order.
The popular dish is of course the Ayam Penyet. The sambal served alongside is its specialty. The combination of chicken, fried tofu, sprinkled with crispy chicken with sambal on its side makes the whole dish appealing.

The dishes generally are affordable and very much worth it. The Ayam Penyet costs less than $7. It may seem over-priced but it is definitely worth every dollar.
Not to mention, the waiters & waitresses there never fail to greet you with a smile.
On the whole, Ayam Penyet Ria is the restaurant to go to if one is craving for Indonesian food, especially if it’s Ayam Penyet!

I am really disappointed with the service at Swensens Dhoby Ghaut. My mum and I were waiting outside for about 2 minutes before one of the staff actually bothered to attend to us. The rest of them saw us but chose to ignore.

I was craving for pizza so I ordered the Spicy Sardine. It is a new dish in Swensens, so I decided to give it a try. It took quite long for the food to be served to us. The pizza looked really spicy.
