Qi Ji is a small eatery chain famous for their Popiah and Nasi Lemak.

As it is a small eatery, I will usually take away than to eat at the shop.

Like their soft thin popiah skin. Black sauce, chilli and garlic are spread on the skin before the flavourful turnip fillings, eggs, bean sprouts and toppings are added to the skin and tightly wrapped to a roll.

Was always impressed on how they wrapped the popiah nicely such that the fillings will not fall off easily.

Milk Pan@Petite Provence Smile Apr 15, 2012

There are quite a number of nice bakes offered by Petite Provence. Their famous soft custard wassant and delicious sesame pizza are among my favourite.

Decided to go for their soft yummy Milk Pan this time round.

The bread is soft as their wassant and their custard-like milky filling is super yummy! But it does get a bit "gelat" after a while, wonder how much calories is this innocent looking nice little milk pan.

Were delighted when we see the Gong Cha store at Marina Bay Sands, finally something affordable amidst all those branded stores tongue!

As usual, we get the Lemon juice with white pearl and ai-yu. Slightly sour this time round.

Something special for this branch is that you can enjoy your tea at a comfy corner at Marina Bay Sands just besides Gong Cha store. At that corner, there is comfortable sofa and stools that everyone can freely sit. We were lucky that there was also live performance when we were there.

When we want something cheap and simple at Vivo, we will go to the Kopitiam at basement 2. There are a variety of food at Kopitiam, one of my usual choice for simple food will be Cheng Long Fish Soup.

There are a number of media recommendations displayed at the store, including a photo with our former Prime Minister.

Their soup base somehow taste slightly different from the others, with additional taste maybe from the seaweed, vegetables or tomato. Quite nice.

I will usually order fried fish mian xian and opted for soup with milk. The mian xian absorbed the fragrant soup and the fried fish slices were nice with their red chilli sauce.

Prawn Kway Teow@Boon Kee, TPC Smile Apr 14, 2012

Categories : Singaporean Chinese | Coffeeshop

There is always long queue at the stall after it had shifted from Amoy Street to one of the Tanjong Pagar Complex coffee shops.

The prawn noodle is popular and you will always have to wait for at least 10~20 minutes during peak hours. To beat the crowd, try to arrive around 11:30am.

You can choose to have your noodles served dry with nice hot sauce or served with their thick prawn pork broth. Besides prawns, you can choose to include pork ribs, pork slices or pig intestines.

My favourite is their Kway Teow Soup with Prawn and Pork ribs @$3~4. Sprinkle with some chilli powder to give the extra spiciness. I often couldn't resist but finish the whole bowl of soup which is cooked with lots of prawn heads and pork ribs.

If you love your food hot, you can also try their dry version with super spicy sauce which my friend loved. Add those crispy fried pork lard if you love it the traditional way.

Service is a bit slow as the stall owner takes pride to handle all the food processing himself, from getting the right amount of noodles, cooking the noodles, picking and arranging the prawn and pork ribs into the bowl. His helper only helps with the money collection and handling of bowls and trays.

You can try the home made barley in the coffee shop, which is thick and fragrant at a cheap price as well.
