Sweet Supper! Smile Jun 28, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Bakery

Mum bought me and my brother these donuts from a bakery at JCube!
She saw quite a crowd in this shop and decide to take a look at this bakery smile
I love the donut that she bought tongue
It's has this sweet chocolate on top and it's quite a thick layer so i could savour the sweetness of this donut!
This is definitely by far one of the best donut i've eaten chopstick
Nowadays elsewhere the donuts are small and the chocolate so little!
I really like this one and wouldn't mind if i get to eat more than one tongue
*P.s, while writing this i was targeting my brother's donut! Hahaha lol

Dessert time at Antoinette ;) Smile Jun 28, 2013

My Malaysian friend has never heard of Antoinette when I told her about a great classy place for some Parisian patisserie. shocked

We were shopping for some great GSS buys when we decide to stop for some energy recharging food! I brought her to this Antoinette outlet at Orchard. lol

Really love the ambience of the place, it’s has this very classy feel to it great for high tea sessions!

After looking through their menu, we decide to order a Pavlova to share! tongue

The descriptions state that it's Passion Fruit Banana Sorbet with French meringue, almond crumble and dark chocolate smile

I don't actually eat passion fruit but this Pavlova Passion fruit banana sorbet is so refreshing! And it's my first time eating the French meringue, so soft and sugary!

With added dark chocolate, this is a great pick for sweet tooth ladies like us chopstick

Plus almond crumbles to give an extra crunch!

Recommended good pick from their menu tongue

Tea time Smile Mar 07, 2013

That' how i spent my Xmas Eve, having some last minute shopping done and settling down for a tea break before heading home early!
This was my 2nd time, trying Canele.
The first was quite a long time ago...
My friend was quite hungry and decide to order their crepe to try!
She had the Sweet Crepes as shown in the second photo.
It was most exciting when her order arrives, we couldn't take our eyes off it tongue
It consists of Caramelized apples with toffee, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream & filo pastry! lol
I'm quite sure the standing upright things on her crepe are the filo pastry which tastes like biscuit?
And the crepe is so soft!
As for mine, i got myself one of their designer cakes!
It is called Le Chocolat Croustillant (Crispy Chocolate Cake).
This is super recommend by me!
It's a whimsical chocolate indulgence, using luscious Vanini chocolate mousse layered between a crispy chocolate praline & opulent Gianduja cream, surrounded by a wall of divine dark chocolate glaze & crushed hazelnuts.
At this point, you guys reading my review should be drooling?
Please do go try out the desserts that we had or you can even attempt other yummy treats.
Other than the sweet stuff, they have savoury items too!
Go try lol

Takeaway dinner! Smile Feb 04, 2013

This is my first time buying take away from Pepper Lunch.
Usually i prefer to eat there as it'll be pipping hot but i was rushing to get home to do more spring cleaning!
I always cannot resist the smell of the sizzling Pepper Lunch, yummy! smile
My friend told me that now they're having this new Salmon & Chicken Combo Pepper Rice lol
I decide to order this so that i can have best of both worlds.
As such there was quite an amount of people as i had to wait awhile before it's my turn to order and collect my rice.
It was placed in a cute little round plastic bowl with lid.
I'll say it's quite ok for the price of $6.90 for the rice, corn, salmon and chicken!
And not forgetting the honey brown sauce which is my must have to pour over the rice tongue
This dish is simple delicious and i'm super loving the generous amount of ingredients especially the salmon!!!! chopstick
I'll definitely buy again, or best still to have dinner there before this deal ends! (just in case if it's only on going for CNY)

I love Crystal Jade stuff, makes me think of them as a more classy and restaurant standard to their bakery too!
It's been quite a while since i visited them and that day i just happened to want grab this as a quick bite while waiting for my friend to knock off work!
I don't know it's the weather or what (rainy day) but the egg tart's really warm when handed over to me by the staff lol
Immediately just right out of the store, i sat at those nearby benches kind of seats to eat my egg tart.
Just the warmth of it gives me a good vibe to this egg tart.
I love this kind of Portuguese egg tart!
The tart's really soft and i love the crust flakes smile smile smile
It was that nice that i finishes it in no time even before my friend got there!
Now it's one of my definite must buy when i come across a Crystal Jade My Bread outlet! lol
