Egg tarts for the day! Smile Jun 28, 2013

Categories : American | Fast Food | Halal

Egg tarts are one of the best form of breakfasts to me!
I love this pastries a lot and KFC's ones are quite a good choice lol
In terms of pricing, it's more or less the same as outside bakeries.
However i love their tarts especially if i bought them and it's hot/warm. Freshly baked pastries are the nicest. I love their crust of the egg tarts, very tasty! chopstick

This Portuguese egg tarts are my favourite, with a thin layer yellow brown baked layer and smooth rich egg feelings in them! Every bite is love, try their egg tarts if you're an egg tart lover like me too lol

Dessert time at Antoinette ;) Smile Jun 28, 2013

My Malaysian friend has never heard of Antoinette when I told her about a great classy place for some Parisian patisserie. shocked

We were shopping for some great GSS buys when we decide to stop for some energy recharging food! I brought her to this Antoinette outlet at Orchard. lol

Really love the ambience of the place, it’s has this very classy feel to it great for high tea sessions!

After looking through their menu, we decide to order a Pavlova to share! tongue

The descriptions state that it's Passion Fruit Banana Sorbet with French meringue, almond crumble and dark chocolate smile

I don't actually eat passion fruit but this Pavlova Passion fruit banana sorbet is so refreshing! And it's my first time eating the French meringue, so soft and sugary!

With added dark chocolate, this is a great pick for sweet tooth ladies like us chopstick

Plus almond crumbles to give an extra crunch!

Recommended good pick from their menu tongue

I love McCafe concept lol
I find that their drinks would not lose to established brands like Starbucks or Coffee Bean tongue
As for their food like cakes for example, i have yet to try to determine.
Usually i go for drinks only in such cafes smile
McCafe's Double Chocolate Frappe is so good!!!! shocked
This drink was recommended to me by my colleague!
If you're a hardcore chocolate lover like me then this is definitely a must try lol
Their Double Chocolate Frappe is actually Blended ice and milk with chocolate and Orea cookies!
And now till end July you can get a stamp on your reward card (ask from the friendly staff) with every purchase, collect 6 to redeem a free drink!
Please try if you're looking for something than the usual Starbucks or Coffee Bean!

Pontian, Yums! Smile Jun 26, 2013

Categories : Malaysian | Hawker Centre | Noodles

Monday’s quite a hot and fine day when I went out with colleagues for lunch smile
We drove to the nearby Yishun area to have our meals!
I decided to order a bowl of Wanton Noodles (Dry).
You can choose between dry or soup.
For dry noodles, you have the option to choose sweet sauce, chilli or even tomato sauce chopstick
It's quite cheap for a bowl of noodles with fried wantons and a small bowl of soup with watons in it too smile
So for one price you get to try two types of wantons bowl
Only one bad point i find is that the fried wantons are getting so small, barely much fillings in them sad
Overall Pontian Wanton Noodles is still a not bad choice for meal!

Sinful indulgence Smile Jun 25, 2013

Categories : Fast Food | Burgers and Sandwiches

This is what girls do when they shop first, they will forget to eat their meals! It’s almost 9pm when I had dinner with my friend J.
She’s Malaysian and has not heard of Everything With Fries when I suggested this place for dinner smile She’s very keen to try as I’ve told her about the yummy food there!

The place was quite empty for a Monday night and there are located at the highest Cinema level of Bugis Junction. I reckon they usually attract movie crowds more! J wanted to try their Lamb Burger and I was quite interested in their Tandoori Chicken Sandwich. Both of us decided to top up $3.90 for a One Egg Soup and a refreshing glass of Ice Lemon Tea lol

Service was quite fast, given there’s wasn’t much people. We ordered, soups and mains were served promptly!

The soup was quite interesting, first time I had a western style egg soup! They have those fried egg whites on top for some added bite smile

The best surprise comes from the main courses! You can see the huge lamb patty in J’s burger. As for mine the sandwiches look so tasty lol
Their portions are really good if you’re feeling hungry! I love my grilled Tandoori chicken, the taste of the spice and grilled to crispy skin perfection! J’s said her burger was awesome too. Their mains come with salad and fries (choose between shoe string/straight cut).

This is one of my 5 rated star restaurants for some affordable, filling and delicious food. Lamb Burger and Tandoori Chicken Sandwich are both at $11.90 each smile They have their specialty dessert like the Nutella Tart which we’re too full to carry on, guess it’ll have to be left till the next round lol
