Dessert at Dessert Hut Arcade Smile Mar 27, 2012

Ordered a bowl of Tang Yuan (Chinese rice dumplings) in ginger soup after lunch from Dessert Hut. It cost me $2.50 for a bowl of 3. Reasonable price. The taste is good as well. Texture if the rice dumpling is smooth and the skin is thin with lots of fillings( Sesame and peanut). The ginger soup is not too spicy and not too sweet. It goes perfectly well with the dumplings.

Spending per head: Approximately $2.50

Dessert at Ji De Chi Bugis Smile Mar 27, 2012

Viisted Ji De Chi Dessert just opposite of the famous Ah Chew Dessert in Liang Seah street area. Was quite skeptical about the place as i always patronise the latter. Nvertheless, decide to give it a try. I ordered the cold steamed milk, it cost me $3.20. The steam milk at Ji De Chi tasted the same as Ah Chew's, if not better. The texture is smooth and it just melts in your mouth. *Recommended*

Dinenr at Pao Xiang Nex Smile Mar 22, 2012

Visited Pao Xiang Bak Ku Teh at Nex. The food is really not that bad but the price is quite steep for that small bowl of ribs and soup. It costs me about $10 for the soup and the Youtiao. Although there are many varieties of dishes to choose from but the price is just not right. We just order a soup and youtiao each for a simple dinner. Worth to try.

Lunch at With A Pinch of Salt in Katong was a delight. located in the quiet corner of Katong, they sell very cheap and good pastas and western food. We order a softshell crab pasta and the squid ink pasta plus a caesar salad to share. It only cost us about SGD 20 per head with taxes. The serving for the pasta is good and the taste is great. I would say it is money well spent. recommended to give it a try

Sinful meal at Market Street  Smile Mar 26, 2012

Had a sinful lunch last Friday at Market street, raffles place. This is one of the best Briyani i have tasted. Looking at the queue everyday during lunch time, you will know i am not kidding. it took me about 20 mins of queuing before it is my turn. I took away as it is crowded and i cant find seats. the serving is very generous with a huge piece of quarter chicken and a big portion of briyani rice with pickles and curry. It only cost me $4.50. definitely must try. a word of caution - not to have it too often (health reasons)
